The tower rooms are much better than the pyramid rooms but are showing some wear.
There was some old graffiti on the wall outside the bathroom that they had tried to erase but didn't quite succeed in removing.
The casino is still undergoing some renovations. I was there in December 2006 and they were renovating then too. They have a looong way to go before they have all the Egyptian theme removed.

I seem to be allergic to something they use on the sheets. I'm not sure what it is but on all 3 stays here I wake up with a sore throat and scratchy voice.
I like the property otherwise but cannot stay here again because of my allergies.

What a mistake. Went here on my honeymoon of all places. We were greeted by a nice guy in a suit who was excited to hear we were on our honeymoon. We were thinking, alright! Maybe they are gonna give us some type of comp or upgrade since its a special occasion. After listening to 20 mins of this guys load of crap, we realize its a time share. That didnt stop for the 4 days we were there.

We then got to wait 2 hrs in line to get our room. We had a pyramid room, and were upgraded to the tower room, only because they were overbooked in the pyramid. The room was nothing special, and was very dirty. The bed was atrocious.

I was injured on a property adjacent to Luxor and I was treated poorly when I asked if there was someone that could do something about it. I fell on an excalator and my food was bleeding badly. I ended up finding a bathroom on my own, and it took about 20 mins to get the bleeding to stop and to clean myself off. I limped back to my room and security came to check it out. I was then told' I need to go buy some bandaids and gauze'
Are you serious?
What ever happen to customer service. What ever happened to treating your guests right. I mean, most places where I live would be bending over backwards and some to make me happy. I ended up hobbling to a casino that wasnt linked with Mirage/MGM and spending all my money there.

I will never go back to this place. No matter how good the deal is.
I sent them a letter and got a return call. They pretty much passed the buck as to what happened with me falling, stating it couldnt of happened on their property and now is going to have to be handled by Excalibur. So I am certain nothing will ever arise from it.

I am in my mid 20s and have been to Vegas once a year since I turned 21. I plan on making that a normal thing, and I will never stay there again. That is a fact. I will gladly donate to the other casinos.

Visited with a few friends back in March, and Luxor has become a new favorite of ours. Overall, this was a good trip -- stayed on a casino rate, and by the end of the stay had several charges that were taken off my bill by a casino host. Had a tower room, clean and basic, with a great view looking north on the strip. The casino itself is undergoing some renovations (some areas were curtained off), but this never caused us any problems.

We just got back from Las Vegas. The 1st night our bed was so bad my husband had a very hard time getting out of bed the next morning. They did change us to another room and the bed was not great but better only after we used all the bedding and asked for another blanket to sleep on. The bathroom shower in the grout and around the door especially at the base had black mold. It was gross. The constant knocking of the water pipes was annoying. The water pressure in the shower was awful. And another very very annoying thing was the people stationed in booths around the hotel bugging you constantly for free show tickets so you would listen to their sales pitch to buy into their resort.
I must say the staff at the front desk was VERY nice and did comp us dinner at the buffet which was ok We did have 2 wonderful meals at the Salsa Mexician resturant and the servers were awesome.
To get our business again it would take an apology and some effort to lure us back.

Dump.

It is a goon type atmosphere. That means there are black suited GOONS that do their best to sell you condo's or timeshares etc.. Sit for 5mins and get to see these shows for free. I also didn't like the overt Security guards by the pool. Extremely GOONish.

The buffet was about the level of Prison food. Clearly not worth the $20+ per person cost. The "what-ever-they-call-it" coffee shop is above average. Eat there instead of the buffet.

We were sold a room upgrade. The bed in our mid-suite level was less than good. The wife and I both woke up stiff.

This property has serious customer service issues. I will not stay there again.

Luxor is a formerly good hotel going downhill. I had stayed there twice in the '90s and found it to be quiet and comfortable, with a few service complaints but nothing major. The removal of the river ride and the talking camels at the entrance was a good thing, but the new lounges add nothing for a visitor who simply wants to gamble a little in peace and quiet.

In July, I booked a Pyramid Spa suite online and got a decent package during Labor Day week. With check-in 'not allowed until 3pm', I got there at 2:30, only to find a line of over 100 people. I have a bad back, made worse by the plane flights, and had to stand in line for over 40 minutes, shoving my luggage along. Although most check-in windows were open, several employees were trying to sell SOMETHING in the lobby when their efforts could have been better served behind the counter - or offering me a chair. When I finally got a key, it was for a room on the other side of the pyramid, and when I got to the room IT WAS OCCUPIED! I was advised to come back down to the desk, but the 'short' line I was directed to still took 15 minutes to change keys, and get a room which was only on the 4th floor (I had asked for a high floor to avoid noise).

When I got to this new room, the Internet cable was broken, the phone cable was pulled out of the wall (and broken), and the mattress felt like it was 100 years old. Over the course of four days, none of this was fixed, the cocktail table was never cleaned after eating in one night, and I noticed a thick layer of dust on the armoire. Fortunately the spa tub worked, but getting into it was a trial (you have to play hunchback to avoid the windows).

The casino minimums were too high to play there consistently, the steakhouse had mediocre food (although the service was good), and the spa was probably the best part of the trip. The final kick in the teeth was being solicited by a hoooker while waiting for my car from the valet - at 5 in the morning! - in clear view of the valet and a security guard.

A letter of complaint went unheeded for 4 weeks; a follow-up brought an exchange of e-mails and an offer for the next time I visit. I may use it; upgrades are rare and usually worth it - but take my advice. Stay at Paris, Mirage, or Mandalay - all have proven to be a better deal than this aging symbol at the end of the strip.

We requested a king size bed and no-smoking as well as the other couple. The check-in clerk did not say anything and gave us our rooms keys. When we got there they gave us a double (2) and smoking. When we went down there to inquire about the room she gave us a real attitude and then finally placed us in a King smoking room. After we complained we got to switch our rooms the next evening to a king non-smoking room. So much hassle just for what we requested. The hotel is quite boring compared to the others near but (New York) and the value is o.k. The rooms were very basic but the bathtubs were large and roomy. At check-out we again complained but it seemed that they did not care eventhough we said we will never be back...spend a few extra $$$ and stay at a different hotel. We will never go there again....

Stayed at the Luxor in early June 2007. We arrived around noon and had no problem checking in as the line went fast. Room was OK, nothing special, but it was clean and the shower had good water pressure. Hotel / Casino is starting to show its age and could use some updating. Pool was great and we had no problem finding a spot to get some sun. IMAX theater was fun and they have a giant arcade if you bring your kids. Overall a nice deal for the price we paid.

Good stay overall. My room on the second floor of the pyramid was OK but could use some updating. Same holds true for the hallways (they're supposedly renovating the rooms this year, but don't know when that will begin.) Service was excellent across the board. Food was good. There is some construction in the casino, but it didn't bother me. Slots were OK. Very good drink service in the casino. I was comped two of my five nights upon checkout. I would stay here again, but I may wait until the rooms get re-done...they could sure use it.

This was the third time my wife and I have been to Vegas. We thought we were getting a great deal. When we arrived, however, we were greeted with terrible customer service at check-in. The woman behind the counter told us that they had over-booked and our reserved room had been given to someone else. They suggested that we pay $100 extra/night to "upgrade" to a different room. Ridiculous. I demanded that they find us a comparable room at no charge. After leaving for 10-15 minutes to "talk to her boss", the woman came back and miraculously found a room for us. Oh yeah, this was also at 3:00 a.m. after our flight had been delayed due to bad weather. So, needless to say our vacation got off on the wrong foot.

What else....we were traveling with family and they experienced similar problems with Luxor's customer service. The rooms that we were finally placed in were horribly smelly (smoke). Their solution was to send someone up with a cheap-ass bottle of febreeze to try to mask the scent. That worked for about 10 seconds. The beds were not that great either. The bathroom was okay. The tub was cool. The view was a 5/10. But it was a 10/10 if you like parking lots.

The casino was very good and we did well. The buffet was awesome....a must-visit if you are staying at Luxor. Carrot Top is hilarious.

I guess my recommendation is that Luxor is a great place to visit to gamble or to take advantage of some other entertainment, but DO NOT stay here! We're going to pass on Luxor from here on out. I know that we're not the only ones who feel the same way.

At one time I would have told anyone to stay at the Luxor and I swore by it. After my latest visit in January 2007, I will never go back. I play roulette for about 8 hours a day $25 - $30 a hand which should generate a healthy comp right........Wrong. I went to the players club to see where I stood as far as a comp for my play and I was informed that according to their system I never played yet. I was directed to a casino host that had to launch an investigation into why my play wasn't tracked or if I even played. Pretty sad I had to bring him right to the tables I played at and have the staff verify my play. In the end I was comped and informed that the pit people that are supposed to submit the paperwork for tracking play somehow misplaced all of it>>>>>> HMMMM nice to know. As far as I'm concerned don't offer comps if you don't honor them.

I went in Nov and found the check-in lines to be way too long and slow, but worse yet; the staff wasn't friendly at all. Then when I went to check out of the hotel, the check-out line was long & slow, so I did the express ck out where the paper said that they would mail my receipt, but none came. After waiting two weeks, I called the hotel (again, not friendly) and they promised to email, but none came, so I had to call again and finally one came less than 1 hour later. I was disappointed in the hotel and will never stay again.

A great location and amenities. We stayed here for a convention at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and Sands/Venetian and LV Convention Center. The rooms are better than average, the BUFFET IS EXCELLENT in variety and quality (Pharoahs Pheast) the IMAX theatre is wonderful and the prices of rooms are Excellent among all of the 9 MGM-Mirage hotels on the strip (rate wise only Circus Circus and Excalibur are better). Great Stay and I wish I could have spent more time in the hotel as we stayed 4 nights and only one night was spent in the casino. My next visit, if possible, I would go to the luxor for pure enoyment at the Casino, Night Clubs (though Ra is closed to be converted to the new LALV night club) and Restaurants and shows... Fantasy I would like to see.

My 8th trip to the Luxor. They have at least added the rope-paths so check-in is a little less of a hassle. It is one of the few hotels on the strip where door-banging isn't a problem. If you need some quiet, I recommend it. The buffet is just so/so and the casino is tighter than my boss's wallet but it's better than Monte Carlo and Paris by a longshot!

Luxor is a nice Casino/Hotel. One down fall is where our room was, the room was so far from the elevators it took us a long time walk to it. The kids had a good time with all the games and fun areas. The food was really good and a great value! I would definitely recommend it to everyoone!

Checked in on Thursday the 1st of June at about 6:00 P.M. Checkin was relatively painless and quick. We had a Pyramid Spa Suite so we could have a whirlpool tub and it was worth it. The room was spacious (albeit a little oddly shaped being in the corner of the pyramid) and had a good stand up shower and also a fridge. I had asked for a king size bed but they said the highest floor they could get us on with a non-smoking room and a king bed in a Pyramid Spa Suite was the 2nd floor, while we could go up to floor 15 if we wanted 2 double beds instead. We opted for the 2 double beds instead, no biggie.

The room was clean and the service was excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. Even the other patrons seemed to be friendly and we didn't run across anyone who was rude. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and, while they immediately brought up a portable crib for her, the "mattress" was kind of hard and not very comfortable so she ended up sleeping in one of the double beds. Also no biggie.

Didn't have a chance to gamble at all as we were there for a weightlifting competition for my husband, so can't comment on the casino other than to say it looked nice and clean and didn't reek of smoke. I know I saw people smoking so they must have a decent filtration system to keep it from smelling too bad. My mother-in-law was there also and is allergic to cigarette smoke and even she didn't have too many problems.

Overall a very nice stay at the Luxor and would happily stay there again.

I LOVE this hotel. Always good price, nice pools, spa, buffet, rooms, location. It's quieter than most up the strip.Stayed four nights at Mandalay, tried the Monte Carlo as well(never again for either),four nights LUXOR,(never long enough). It's Like coming home,I'm so happy to be here I cry,it's comfortable and beautiful.(I must have been egyptian in another life?)I tell anyone who is Vegas bound to try the LUXOR.Location no problem as we drive down.Gambling anywhere was a little dry on wins, but Vegas was not built on winners! If the LUXOR had a fan club, I'd be #1,or close.Wait...I think i am...Friends call me the LUXOR QUEEN!P.S.Don't eat Aladdin Buffet.BAD very expensive not worth $60.

Somewhat disappointed. They kept at least 1 pool closed off each day due to lack of lifeguards. At $160.00 per night, I expect all of the pools to be staffed. The bed in the west tower was awful. When I complained, it was like "sorry". There are much nicer hotels on the strip for the money, I won't stay here again.

I'd have to say that I have mixed feelings about my stay at the luxor. First of all, the registration/check in line was outrageous (2-3 hr wait). Secondly, they assured us a non smoking upgraded room which was not the case. It was a smoke-smelling, east tower room which was just "ok". When we asked for face wash cloths they reported having none.

When we went to the spa one day we were sad to find out that they ran out of certain products (ie. sea salt) so they couldn't perform a # of treatment options. Plus, they offered no spa specials/poor selection. The staff were also not that helpful.

The location of the Luxor is a bit far away from the center of the strip but the trams help a bit (connect to mandalay bay or exalibur). The hotel was clean and really interesting to look at at night when the pyramid is all lit up. The breakfast buffet was good and comprable in price to most other buffets. May is really a great time of year to visit Vegas- perfect weather and not super crowded yet. Overall, the hotel was just "Ok" for the money but I would try a different hotel in the future whenever I might return.

Booked a room for 3 nights for a rate of 69.99 for pyramid room on an internet rate with 2 for 1 spa and some other stuff. Room was $10 off if you book on line. Checked in at 2pm on 5/29. Yes a holiday and a good rate. Check in was quick. Room upgrade for extra $50 a night. Did not do that. On the 25th floor of Pyramid. WARNING - Room must have been 100 degrees! The ac was blowing and not cool. Called front desk and they moved us to the east tower on the 17th floor. The towers are newer and much better then the pyramid which is showing its age. Ac in the tower was much better. Still warm so closed the curtins so it would be cooler after we returned to the room. It is a nice room. tub and separate shower! Standard pyramid rooms are shower stalls only. The walk from the towers to the casino is far, but much better room. If you have car there is valet between the towers that is much quicker than the main valet in the front. The cafe is very expensive. Only ate there once and not again. Since I'm local I had some comps at other properties. So ate at Terrible Herbst. Good food and cheap off strip at e flamingo and paradise, Tuscany too is good on e flamingo. Have eaten at the buffet and bad. There is a food court on the attractions level with mcdonalds, nathans, and a few others. Stayed at Luxor for a mini vacation.

I stayed at Luxor with 6 other guys for a bachelor party in May. We had a great time and really no bad experiences. The casino seemed a little busy at times, but was overall clean and satisfactory. I was more than disappointed in the breakfast buffett. I love scrambled eggs and they were far too runny! Rooms (Pyramid Deluxe) were nice - very clean and house keeping was very pleasant and thorough. Next trip is already booked for July 2007.

Beautiful building, wonderful buffet, nice room, interesting elevators. Also great service, with one glaring
exception.

That exception was check-in. There was a long line. It took about a half an hour to get up to the desk, but
about half of the stations there were closed. With 4000 employees, this is ridiculous. Why would they want
to make such a bad first impression by treating their guests with such contempt? I've never seen anything
like this.

I stayed at the Luxor from 3/5 - 3/9, 2006 for work. I came in on a Sunday at 8:20 AM and could not check in till 11:30. Then it took almost an hour to get through the check in line. I was put on the 12th floor of the pyramid, which rocked. The rooms were big, but there was no desk to setup to work from your laptop. And in order to use the internet access you had to sit on the bed in order to hook into the ethernet cord. It came from behind the tv. The bed was comfortable and the view from the window was awesome. When I tested out the shower, it took forever for the water to drain, so by the time I got out, it was like a pool and was almost flowing over the edge. The casino betting limits were a little high on the tables so I never approached to play. The buffet for dinner was a little expensive for what you got. There wasn't really anything to do being on the end of the strip unless you wanted to walk a ways. Being close the airport you could hear most the flights in and out, but you get used to it. Overall, I thought it was a good experience for the price that I paid.

An awesome hotel, had a really good time. Stayed on the 22nd floor of the pyramid and the view of the entertainment level from up there is fantastic. Everything here costs, but well worth the expense. It's easy to get lost at first, but after a couple of days you do get your bearings. The Pyramid Cafe is always good at anytime of the day or night.

I stayed at the Luxor end of January 2006 for a business meeting. I must comment on the service at this hotel because to tell you frankly, I was shocked. I've stayed here several years ago and had a great experience. This time was just a really bad experience... The service providers had to be throw backs... We had breakfast around 7am at the cafe. I am not much of a complainer but let me tell you... this was the worst service I ever received!!! The server was very slow, seemed that we were bothering her, practically threw our plates at us, didn't smile once and had a real bad attitude. We figured she was having a bad morning. Then we had cocktails in the lounge and that too was a disaster. My associate and I (both females) sat for a VERY long time waiting for a waitress... when our other associates, (males) joined us... the waitress came right over. Very nice to the gentlemen and practically snarled at us. I thought, maybe my imagination, until I leaned over and asked one of the gentlemen... who immediately agreed that service left much to be desired. I barely finished my question, he finished it for me.

Everything was too expensive and not worth the value. We went to the spa, they charged two of us over a thousand dollars for hair, manicure and pedicure and a mini facial. Rediculous! Then, I hear from a relative that they were offering $99.00 specials for manicure, pedicure and facials... They weren't offering that kind of information to us.

The staff was not very friendly at all... on the casino tables, in the restaurants, at the lounge... front desk staff was not bad.. but don't remember much after this experience. Won't go back there unless we hear there has been a change in management. DON'T PUT YOURSELF THROUGH IT!!!

Stayed here three times now and every time was very enjoyable. stay in the pyramid so you can have a view of inside the building. the sight is worth a million. rooms were clean and quiet. no check in line so we checked in early. every time rooms have been available at 9:00 am. friendly service. highly recommend staying here. note to anything you do in vegas anywhere. five bucks to the right person eliminates any line whether it be to a buffet or a show. keep that in mind.

I've now stayed twice at the Luxor. Both times were an awesome experience. Rooms are exceptionally clean and nicely furnished in the tower rooms. The food is wonderful in the resturants. Most of the time I ate at the Pyramid Cafe in the center of the casino, good food and price. The IMAX theater is incredible! Magnificent Desolation, narrated by Tom Hanks, is a MUST SEE! Shopping is excellent and bargains can be had here. Being able to just walk over to Mandelay Bay is a real plus. Can't wait to go back again!

We have just returned from our trip which ran from Christmas eve through to 30th Dec - (We being the Cole family Two Adults and three children 15, 14 and 9) We arrived at the Luxor at around Midnight 24th Dec (so just tipping into Christmas Eve) - I was expecting long check in queues due to other reviews on this site, no such problem - there was a problem with our booking - but this was a clerical error and was sorted out very quickly by the helpful person behind the desk - He then told us we would be very happy with the rooms he was going to give us )oh yeah I cynically thought! - Well we were VERY happy - we were on the 13th floor of the East tower and we were given two junior suites right opposite each other - now understand I am English even our best hotels would be hard pushed to match these rooms. The housekeeping was always very well done - The place was a joy our first stay after two previous stays at the Aladdin - No complaints and would love to stay again however I doubt we will be lucky enough to get those suites again.

Love this hotel. Have stayed there twice now and hope to return again this year. Although the rooms are looking a little dated now they are kept spotlessly clean. We found all the staff here to be very friendly and the cocktail waitresses probably the most efficient on the strip. The casino is just about the right size its not huge but its not tiny either although the slots are not particulary loose here!!. Overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone especially if your lokking for something a little different. Top class!!!!

Just got back from a Thurs. thru Monday stay at the Luxor. Arrived after midnight and waited 45 minutes to check in! Was given a room on the second floor (even though we had made our reservations 2 months in advance) right near the RA night club. Room was "a little tired." Stains on ceiling, carpet, and curtains. Bathroom was small with only a hand held shower nozzle. And unless you love the sound of music with loud bass playing until 3-4 am...DON'T STAY ON THE SECOND FLOOR. Complained that same day, and front desk upgraded us for free to a deluxe room on the 28th floor. Much Better! Had nice large bathroom and shower, and a wonderful view of Excalibur and strip facing North. Food was good at all the restraunts and the Buffet was good for breakfast - price was only $11.99 per person. Casino was OK, only played video slots, did not join players club. Good drink service when playing. Did not go to the pool, though it was open. Overall the staff was pleasant, and the stay good. Would stay there again.

We chose to stay here for our Honeymoon in November of 2005. Long chekcin lines, and the casino was very tight. Coctail service was ver slow, maybe seen a waitress once every hour and a half. We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite on the upper floor in the pyramyd wich was pretty cool. The bed was very hard, slow room service but the room was a decent size as well was the bathroom, just a little outdated. We will not stay here again unless we can get really good comps.

35 minutes to check in on a Wed. afternoon is a little ridiculous. No one seemed to be concerned about the growing lines and everything just trudged along slowly but surely. Anyone ever think of a machine where you swipe your card and it spits out a room key?

The stay at luxor was awsome!, except we went expecting to stay in a pyramid room and got put in a tower room. my wife really wanted to stay in a pyramid room. The food in the hotel, is absolutely great! the pyramid caf'e is very tasty, and the selection at the pharoas buffet is huge. I recomend staying at the Luxor, but make sure you reserve the room you want.

I've just come back from a week long stay in The Luxor.I found it absolutely fantastic.I thought it was definetly the most amazing hotel on the strip. From the moment i walked into the lobby,it wqas just WOW,awesome.I was in and out of every other hotel on the strip and none had that same impact.
The food wasnt bad either, the buffet wasnt top for breakfast,i thought everything was over cooked but the dinner buffet was good, lovely chinese in it.The pyramid cafe do a lovely sandwich you should check it out.
The hotel itself was spotless clean,Our room was kept clean everyday and there was never any dirth around the hotel at all.
The staff were very friendly and curtious at all times and they made my stay very enjoyable.
The slots were not friendly at all to me but to be honest i knew i wasn't coming home a millionaire.I pretty much broke even every night but still spent alot by the end of the week, but if you are going to complain about losing money well i'd sugeest don't go to the gambling capital of the world,go with the opinion that your coming home broke, you'll enjoy it more.
As for shopping for gifts go down the road in the opposite direction of the strip, theres a great outlet just a mile or so away with great value for money.
After my week there i will definetly go back in a few years.Really was depressing coming home,Can't wait to get back.I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Totally enjoyable experience. Stayed in a spa suite which was a nice 'perk' from your run-of-the-mill room, but had our ceiling started leaking. Luxor staff was apologetic and worked hard to get us in another room. Because they were booked they moved us to a ONE BEDROOM SUITE! for no extra charge. We lived like royaly for the rest of our stay. Definately coming back.

I booked a romm from 8/23- 8/26 midweek for $70 Per night, Checked in late and asked about a suite upgrade. Was given a junior 1 bedroom for another $50 a night. totaling $120 per weeknight to be hooked up like a pimp. True I left the a/c on high cool and it was never freezing but it was alright. If you want it cooler for all you idoits shut your drape. The sun is hot in the desert in the summer. We were in the west tower and it is a little walk to get around but you should expect to have to walk a 100 feet to get to a casino off your elevator at almost all of the mega resorts. Unfortunately kids are around at all these big resorts. Stay off the 2nd level and you will experience less of them. The pool is fine. Ate at the lunch buffet with the 2 for 1 deal, nothing great but worth it for a less expensive meal with the deal. For the money this place is well worth it, even if we were put in a regular room while not as great it would have been alright. If you've never been to Vegas this is a good place to start. If you don't mind walking to the tram outfront and then cross the street twice to the MGM tram( the mega tram they charge you for) you can go anywhere on the strip.
If you go to Vegas expect to spend money, soda, food, cabs, everything is expensive. You can get cheap show tickets at tickets 4 less on the same day up a few blocks from MGM of right above treasure island. Seats may not be so great but depending on the venue you may be able to upgrade with the ushers, we did and for another $40 G

Seats may not be so great but depending on the venue you may be able to upgrade with the ushers for a price. We did get a car for the first time and enjoyed it but it is not necessary. We went to the Hoover dam this time. A pleasant surprise if you like prime rib some shrimp and crab claws was the Caesars buffet. Not a lot of selection but the nicest setting, felt like an expensive dinner. Also this was our third and last trip to the Rio Seafood buffet. Not worth the price anymore for $35 per. Lobsters went from a few years ago being whole and small tails to now half tails. Shrimp was the worst I have seen a long time. Crab was great but save the cab fare and go to Mandalay Bay if you want crab and shrimp. Also at at the wynn buffet for lunch, Mussels were great shrimp was ok, Now that all these resorts are serving already peeled shrimp I did not find any shrimp with great flavor on this trip. We did see Fantasy, I would rec if you want to see titties. Get the half price tickets as there are no assigned seats just go early. If you really want girls go to the strip clubs. you can't compare a nude singing talent show to a nudie bar, If you want play from the girls go to Cheetas otherwise there are better looking girls elsewhere.
Also saw mystere when we moved to treasue island for the weekend and we bought those tickets ahead of time. Not worth $75 each.

DH and I stayed here for our wedding/honeymoon. We booked a regular room in hopes of getting upgraded. When we made our reservations we didn't have plans to get married at that time.

We arrived on a Sunday morning. Check in lines were very very long and we waited 30-40 minutes to check in. Oh well. We asked if they had any upgrades to a suite and they said no check back tomorrow. We said we'd be willing to pay extra but she still said no suites were available check back tomorrow. We had a room in the West tower which was very nice. I have no ideas why people complain about these rooms. They were great! Anyway, to make a long story short, the next day we were upgraded to a suite in the West tower on the 21 floor. We were told it would be an extra $50 a night. Hey its our Wedding/Honeymoon who cares, we'll take it! The room was gorgeous! You walked into a very large room with a table, four chairs, wet bar, fridge and a big chair and couch. Huge floor to ceiling window overlooking Excaliber. The next room was the bedroom, very tastefully done and big, lots of closets. Then the bathroom. HUGE!!! Toilet and sink in same area, wall seperated big soaking tub with jets and seperate shower. Very very nice! We recommend both rooms very much! Also, they never charged us the $50 a night for the upgrade when we checked out, so that was also a nice bonus. Oh and the other thing was that we requested a smoking room. When we went to change rooms they said only non-smoking suite available but no problem becasue they would bring us ash trays, etc. Now I don't like doing this but wanted a suite, wanted to smoke, the HOTEL employees said basically, who in the hell cares go ahead and smoke so yes we did smoke. The maids emptied our ash trays everyday and gave us new matches. It seemed like the whole floor was non-smoking but hey whatever. They said we could smoke!

The only thing I would complain about and only because it almost gave me a heart attack was the fact that I had to have my vale pressed. We took it to the service desk the Sunday we arrived. It would have to be sent out as they don't do dry cleaning on the premisis. Ok no big deal at all. We told them we were going to be moving rooms the next day so we would tell them where to have it delivered, or to check our information. Ok so its the day of my wedding and no vail in the room. We got very intoxicated the night before since it was our bachelor/bachelorette parties and didn't even think about it. So its 1030 in the am I am not getting married until 730pm, but my vail is no where to be found. Now mind you, when we switched rooms, we did let the service desk know this and they made a note. To make a long story short my vail was found in our old room thank god! Let me tell you though, for those 15 minutes I was flipping out. (I had a case of bridezilla, I know!)

I was not overly impressed with the pool. Just a basic pool. Lots of kids, (Kids don't belong in Vegas IMHO) crowded, but hey it's August I expect crowded, but they had one of the pools closed due to staff shortage. Unacceptable but hey what can I do aboit it?!

The only place we ate at the Luxor was at the coffee shop one night, it was very good as far as coffee shops go. Staff was nice.

We didn't play any table games here, seemed kind of dead every time we went to play. Slots were good. We were addicted to WOF machines. Could easily play for an hour with only $20 in the machine. Would definitly stay/play here again.

Only had one rude person at the valet. He was an A$$. Gave me a hard time because I pulled into the wrong lane, god forbid. What a d***. Otherwise valet staff was great and quick and efficient. Always had air conditioner on for us and radio on. Most always asked if we needed directions going anywhere. Very nice, and yes we tipped appropriately.

DH and I had reservations at the SPA the day of our wedding. We both agreed it was great! I had a facial, massage and sea salt scrub. The massage was a little rough for my liking but my fault as I did not say anything. The facial was my favorite. It was great! I also loved the showers and the fact that they each had a different scent to them. I chose mango so the soap, shampoo and conditioner was all mango. It was sweet! DH loved his massage and said it was just right. Would highly recommend the spa.

I also had my hair and make-up done the day of the wedding at the salon inside the Luxor. (can't remember its name.) It was very very expensive for an up-do, vail placement and make-up (over $400 including a very generous tip) but well worth it. I do have long hair and it took the girl over 2 and a half hours for everything. But even I am not that anal. Irregardless she was great and did a great job. Just longer than I expected! Would recommend salon also.

Overall great experience. Would return again and again!

Just came back from a 5 night stay at the Luxor. Although we didn't really want to stay on the South end of the strip, we couldn't pass up the room price we got from them on the internet. After reading dozens of comments we still couldn't make up our minds whether to stay in the pyramid or the tower rooms. Here's the answer folks. The first night we asked for and received a pyramid room. The room was rather shabby, faced the tower (no view), had a shower that dripped all night, noisy hallway and a blow dryer that blew only cold air. First thing the next morning we requested and were moved to an East Tower Room. That room had a toilet that also ran constantly but was much nicer and a decent value for the money. Neither room type had in room safes which was very disappointing. (They offer safe deposit boxes instead in the lobby area.)We ate at Luxor Steakhouse one night. It is pricey but the filets and service were excellent. We ate at the Pyramid Cafe every morning for breakfast. Great coffee, food and service at a decent price. We found the slots to be pretty tight although that comment applies to all of the strip hotels. Gamble off strip if you're looking for looser slots. The Luxor is a beautiful hotel but they need some TLC in the pyramid rooms, which were probably beautiful at one point. (Interesting furniture in rooms etc.) They also need to install in room safes. For the money we paid for 5 nights at the Luxor, we had a great trip and left satisfied.

We stayed here in July 2004 for my daughters Dance Competition. The Dance Co. had reserved a block of rooms for people attending the competition. The room was $69 a night and for that price I was pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. FANTASTIC! The pool was incredible!! We spent 2 days at the pool, our girls had a great time (age 6). I recommend staying at the Luxor.

My wife and I stayed at the Luxor for our anniversary and had a nice time. The Luxor is a nice casino with very tight slots and high minimum tables. We are novice gamblers and signed up for a Texas hold-em lesson and enjoyed that, until a vulture dropped in just as it went to a $1-$2 game for us learning how to play. As soon as she dropped out a guy jumped in and started playing wih us novices. It was iritating and a little intimidating. His cards were cold though and my wife took $15 from him before we left. The grounds are very confusing. It is not well marked as to how to get to the 2nd floor where many of the attractions are and we spent alot of the time trying to find our way around. We were dropped at the North entrance and were struggling with our bags and the bellman waited until I walked past him before he asked if I wanted some help!!! It was a long walk to the front desk with our bags. The Oasis spa rocks if you can get a chance to go, go early and enjoy the complimentary juices and fruit and use the facilities to shake off the previous day and get ready for the new one.

We just returned from a week at the Luxor the property is really cool. It was kept very clean and smoke free. We were on a very tight budget and could not eat in the Luxors resturaunts due to the high prices, I dont care what they say you can cook a damn good steak for less the 30 dollars. We gambled some in the casino moslty the penny slots which paid really well, but we could not afford the $15 min at the tables they did have cheaper minimums but they were at 7am when it was dead. We stayed in the west tower and the room was great, we did not have one complaint with the room the entire time we were there. Now lets talk about the complex in general. It was very clean but very expensive, spent a bunch of money on tips that were unnecessary and unearned, got charged a buck a phone call for local calls which we weren't told about till we checked out. This should give you a good veiw of what to expect. Tumbs up for cleanliness and condition. Thumbs down for not being as affordable as we would have liked.

I visited the Luxor from May 12 to May 18, 2005. This was my third trip to Las Vegas since 1996 and my 1st stay at the Luxor (1st visit was to MGM-11/1996 and 2nd was Paris-11/2002). My budget and my search had narrowed my selection down to the Luxor and TI. After reading the comments about Luxor & TI the deal breaker was the pool. I booked my room online receiving a $10 discount per night for doing so, the best deal after searching several travel web sites. I was a little concerned that I made a bad decision after reading some of the comments on here.

Overall I found the Luxor to be a very nice hotel. Check-in was fast and friendly despite my 11:30 AM arrival and the long lines at the front desk. A room was ready and I was allowed to check-in even though check-in was not until 3:00 PM. My request for a high floor with a good view was even honored. I stayed in the pyramid for all 6 nights on the 23rd floor. The room was very spacious with a view of the pool and mountains. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large with a party-size shower stall (LOL) and plenty of very hot water. My only complaints about the room was it was in the opposite corner from the elevator, the air conditioning was a little weak and it was a hike to the pool.

Upon check-in, I received several coupons for various hotel amenities/attractions. The best being the 2 free passes to the spa (normally a $20 fee for guests) and a 10% off coupon for a massage. I went to the pools (yes there are 5 pools at the Luxor compared to 1 at TI) a couple of days, which was very nice. There were plenty of towels and chairs to be found in spite of how crowded it was and the hot weather.

Initially I would have ranked the casino as average with very tight slots except for the last day. I had about an hour or so to kill until my departure so I decided to hit the slots since I didn’t gamble as much as I thought I would. I played mostly Wheel of Fortune machines at all the casinos I visited while there. I started with a quarter machine and cashed out with $75. I moved to a dollar machine losing most of my $75 and decided to try another $ machine, I thought. After sliding in a $100 bill I realized it was a $5 machine, my initial thought was to immediately cash it out and move on. Then I thought what the heck its only money and I didn’t spend as much on gambling as I thought I would. After a few spins I got to spin the wheel and won $600. I still had a little time so I decided to play down to $500 and cash out. About 3 or 4 spins later I got a triple bar and 2 triple symbols, which made the pay out 9 times the normal. This 360 credit win required a hand pay out. The floor person arrived very quickly, however, the time it actually took to get my money was long. There was a malfunctioning printer that required them to go to another computer to print my W-2G. After about ½ hour I ended up with a hand written W-2G, my money and would miss my van to the airport. Not to shabby for what turned out to be a free trip to fabulous Las Vegas

My husband decided to fly me to Las Vegas as a surprise for our anniversary, but the exciting and wonderful trip quickly turned for the worst due to an incompetent sales clerk at Luxor. As part of the surprise, my husband wanted to rent out a cabana at the pool for the day. Bear in mind the price is outrageous, but we wanted to splurge for the special occasion. We were placed on a waiting list on Sunday and instructed to return by 10:15am on Monday to see if anyone cancelled. We were out in the pool area at 9am on Monday and checked in at the desk at 9:45. The sales clerk tells him "no cancellation, come back at 10:30. My husband checks in with her again at 9:55, 10:05, 10:15. At the third visit, he bought a swimming trunk and told by the same lady to return in 10 ten minutes. At his last return, the same lady tells him "oh, you should have been here sooner. Three people were standing around and I gave the cabana to them. According to my clock, you arrived past 10:30." I was furious when he reported the incident to me. I was more upset because he was so angry. This lady should have used common sense to realize that my husband's persistance indicated a strong desire for renting the cabana. How much clearer should he have been if he specifically told her that morning, "I definitely want the cabana should anything opens up." Our trip could have been more pleasant if this lady would only use better judgement. We didnt have watches on and there was no clock in the pool area. If he was late, it was only by a couple of minutes. Lesson to everyone, carry a watch with you when you go to the pool. However, I don't believe that I should worry about time when I am on vacation!! I rather stay at other hotels on the strip whose employees are more competent and the policy is geared towards making guests happy, not miserable.

While I agree with the last post that the Luxor is a little expensive lets face it, THEY ALL ARE! IF your a cheapskate, on a very tight budget, or if penny slots are your limit then STAY away from the LUXOR and most of the mega resorts.

My friends & I stayed May 19, 05. Check-in took about 12 minutes, not bad for a strip hotel. We stayed in a pyramid room and the front desk person let us have one near the an inclinator.

The room itself was very nice and clean. I especially liked the size of the bathroom.

My major complaint with this room was with the air conditioning. The a/c unit is positioned in a bad spot on the side of the wall, facing the table and chair in the room, completely missing the beds & the bathroom. Also, our particular unit hardly put out any air at all. We called maintenance, which responded within 10 minutes & they put in a new air filter. The air filter didn't work at all so I ended up going to Walmart and purchasing a large fan to use in the room. I had the curtains closed, the a/c on high and even waited 8 hours and the room still was not cold. I could not imagine this in July/August.

The maintenance person notified us that management is aware of the A/C problem and he said that they plan on re-positioning every a/c in the pyramid, but did not know when.

This hotel is a little confusing to navigate if you are a first time visitor. Luckily, the security guards were nice enough to let us up on the employee inclinator so that we didn't have to carry our luggage around the maze of slot machines any further.

I would definitely stay at the Luxor again, however I think I would rather have a tower room. I hear they are newer and a lot closer to the parking lot so I can get to my rental car quicker. The walk from the pyramid to the parking lot seems like a mini marathon & even though the pyramid rooms are closer to the casino, Luxor is not my choice casino to gamble in anyway.

The room was clean and nice however there are no safes in any of the rooms and what they called a "queen" bed was a "full" in my room. This was disappointing to me. Bathrooms are small for 2 people.

If you stay in the actual pyramid part of the luxor, and in one of the lower levels you hear the annoying sound of slot machines all night. Not a very good place to stay at if you're trying to get some sleep. Otherwise it was alright.

Stayed at Luxor 4/4-4/7 in the West Tower. Room was immaculate and QUIET! Never heard a peep out of anyone. The west tower was quite a hike from the check in desk, but it was worth it! Pool area was nice...a great place to chill out after walking all day. Ate at the Pharoah's Pheast Buffet and the Pyramid Cafe...both average. Slots sucked...not one win in 3 days. Had decent luck at the Aladdin, Excalibur, Paris. All in all this is a great place to stay...just don't gamble there!

Took an extremely l-o-o-o-n-g time for check-in, but otherwise had a great stay at the Luxor. Hot tubs were not hot the first day I visited the pool area, but they were fixed the next day. La Salsa was OK-nothing exceptional, but dinner at the Luxor Steakhouse was delicious and charming.
The casino slots has some good payouts(look for the $1 Triple Cherry). West Tower room was comfortable and offered good view of pool and west Las Vegas.
Will come again.

Well what can I do but rate this place highly. We went to Mandalay to look around, very nice, the walkway/sopping mall from there to the Luxor is very nice and takes you into the mezzanine level in the Luxor. The rides in there are good value and fun.
We went onto the casino floor and played a couple of slots for some free drinks,no luck,so my wife put a few quarters into one of those 3 reel slots that you can win a car on.Could not lose so after 10 minutes we took out $17.50 and decided to cash it in,but we were tempted by a Supercherry machine, more drinks and $5 later we won the jackpot, yes the jackpot $500.00 on a 2c play!!!!
Don't belive me?I have the photo to prove it,so FANTASTIC is all I can say what are the odds on that? Go if only too see the inside of this place.Rooms are good and the whole place is good enough to make you not bother to go elsewhere shops casino and restaurants are good value

Stayed at the Luxor 22nd March to 27th March 2005.

Really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were everything you could expect for the price and service was always good throughout the hotel - with the ocassional exception of cocktail service.

Check in and out were fine, though looked like it could be a real problem at times.

Location is great. A bit quieter than mid-strip though only a short walk away.

I really enjoyed my 5 day stay at the Luxor. I stayed in the West Tower and the room was really nice. Every bit the equal of the Monte Carlo which is where I usually stay. The bathroom was very nice and the housekeeping was excellent. Checked in at 5:30 pm on a Sunday and it took about 5 minutes. I paid $89 per night during spring break which I thought was a very good deal. The access to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay was quite good. The buffet is pretty good as was the coffee shop. The casino was okay I like the Monte Carlos a little better. I would definately stay there again.

We stayed here for one night on our last trip. We had a spa suite on the 25th floor. The view was wonderful and the cost was not very high. The staff here is very helpful with friendly bellmen, valets and front desk staff. The waitress we had in the Pyramis Cafe was very helpfuland friendly, especially with my wife who was not feeling well that evening.

The Pyramid Cafe was nice with very large portions for the money. The line on a Thursday evening was long.

Check in went quickly and was very smooth.

The property is starting to show some wear around the edges and could use a little tidying up.

The slots in the casino are very tight, the selection is quite large

This was our first trip to Vegas. We started out at the Monte Carlo but after seeing the Luxor decided to move over. From the time we made our reservation from the lobby phone (got in for $59)to the time we checked out, we had a great time and great room as well. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and we will definately be back. We even managed to win a little money in the casino.

Awesome hotel, wonderful service, VERY VERY tight slots! Hotel staff is friendly and egar to help, and the most interesting patrons (early hours of the morning) are in the cafe. Yes we are people watchers! Buffet is okay, menu never changes. Taxi's can be expensive so rent a car because you are on the far end of the strip. Not the best place for children!!!

I just returned from a five day stay at the Luxor. Each time I visit I am amazed by the hospitality of the
staff. the check in on Sunday afternoon went well. I stayed in the pyramid on the 14 floor with a view of
Excaliber and the city. I ate in the Luxor Steakhouse, The Sacred Sea Room and the Pyramid Cafe. All
the meals were great. The servers know what to do. The room was promptly cleaned each day. I always
book my stay months ahead and get good rates. If you gamble join the One Club. If you buy anything
from the many shops show your One Club card and get a discount. I always use the bell staff they take
my luggage and hold it until I'm checked into my room. A call and they bring it up within 15 minutes.
You don't have to shlep your luggage It's a big hotel and hauling bags is a lot of work. A small tip buys
a lot of service.
The attractions level always has a film that is a must see. This trip it was Pirates in 4D. I have stayed at
three other Hotels on the strip but Luxor is my favorite.

Alternative room offered were poor air quality. Good value for money yet rooms now tacky. Damaged bathroom tile taped up. Bathroom corners not sealed. Bath short. Sense of spacious feeling to this hotel. Damaged paint work not repaired. Air con not cleaned and blows dusty. Secure hotel. Nice pool. Restaurant slow with queues. Seating not coping with hotel demands. Hotel at end of strip. Air rating in casino about 2nd best. We will not return again to this hotel. Was given 3 sets of key cards that did not work in room door locks. Front automatic doors failing to open. Room can be used if you are wiling to continue to spray room. Ask house keeping to refrain from spraying room with air freshener. Amount Offered of refund was a joke.

The Luxor is a decent place to stay in Vegas. I'm definitely a fan of the slightly tacky theme, and the inclinators that you ride up to stay in your pyramid room are quite cool. Also, the unique shape of the pyramid rooms is really neat. There are two pretty big problems with the Luxor, however. One is location. Its just too far south, not a lot of places (especially cheap ones) are nearby. The other problem, more importantly, is that the Luxor is just getting a bit run down. It really needs a renovation. Paint is peeling, linens are threadbare, etc. I don't mind such things all that much, but if you're looking for a luxury experience, you should probably go one stop south and check out Mandalay Bay.

Luxor is on the new tail end of the strip. The pools are very nice, but go early to stake out a chaise lounges unless you go for a private cabana. The rooms are functional and witty for Egypt, but nothing to write home to MoM about unless you have the suite. The hotel as a whole is stunning. It reminds me of Zion in the Matrix movie series. The club RA was one of the best dance clubs that I have been in for a while if you are looking for a good mix of club songs from the 80s, 90s and present day. Drinks are pricy so get drunk before you go.

We stayed here over a long weekend in September. It was only Okay. We stayed in a pyramid room. The first room was on the 7th floor - yuk - changed to a room on the 25th floor - much better. Great view. Shower was huge with great water pressure and could get the water very hot. Room was only okay. Not what I was expecting. It was nice for this trip, but I wouldn't spend the $$$ to stay here again. The pool temp was VERY VERY cold. I couldn't even get in beyond my waist. We usually spend lots of time in the water - couldn't here. The staff was nice and very willing to make changes. Check-in and out was easy. All and all a good trip, but not great.

Only good things to say about the Luxor. We had a room in the east tower. It was clean and was definitly an above average hotel room. A king size bed, a tub & a shower. Very nicely appointed room, with a very quiet ventalation system. Would have been nice to get the room a little cooler, but it was 113 degrees outside when we were there! The whole hotel is very nice with the pyramid theme running throughout the hotel. The Pharoah's Buffet is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was excellent with cool refreshing water. Too bad it wasn't open at night. Would definitely stay there again. One of the best hotels on the strip especially for the price when compared to the Venetion or the Ballagio.

As a few others had stated, the check-in took quite a while. We were in line for about 40 minutes. It is a unique place to stay. We stayed in the Pyramid 25th floor. No tub in the room or coffee maker. Also no bags for dirty laundry. Overall the room was clean and in good repair. The room is a little dark, women may want to bring a lighted make-up mirror, My wife was frustrated with the lighting. Pool is nice but the water was surprisingly and uncomfortably cold. It was 110 degrees outside, but the water was frigid.

We checked in on Sunday, July 4, 2004 and checked out Friday, July 9, 2004. They over booked the hotel for the July fourth weekend as most hotels do. Check in lines were aweful. Got through check in after saying in line for about 1/2 hour. Couldn't check into our room until 6pm. Room wouldn't be clean until then.

The rest of the stay was perfect. If all I had to endure was long check in lines and a later room check in, we had it made. The room was perfectly clean. Nice and big. We stayed in the East tower and was a little bit of a walk, but no big deal. You could party in the bathrooms, they were HUGE.

The hotel staff is very professional. Everything was fantastic. They need to figure out the check in lines. The lady checking us into the hotel was very, very nice. She gave us what we needed.

I liked the place. Very unique design and the shows they have there, the 4-D and King Tut's tomb was interesting and fun.

Be sure to try out the Deli on the casino floor. GREAT food and perfect for the quick bite while gambling.

We stayed in Luxor after staying in Paris Las Vegas, so it had its work cut
out for it, but managed to be a fun place to stay. The Check In lines are
awful! Took ages. However the rooms were nice, we stayed in a Tower
room which was very nice and later upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite in the
Pyramid - although the Jacuzzi room was fun, the room felt a little "worn" in
comparison to the Tower, which was fresher and seemed a higher
standard of fittings. Like I said Luxor is great fun and great value, but Paris
was exceptional.

High marks all around. Good price, great pool (water was COLD, compared to other pools I've used in Vegas), nice restaurant choices, totally unique rooms (I stayed in the pyramid). Room was extremely quiet and cozy, great view of the pool. No bathtub, but I don't take baths, so it didn't bother me (tower rooms supposedly have tubs). Staff extremely friendly. Nice layout on the casino floor (since it's the base of the pyramid, things seemed easier to find).
I would stay here again.

Great experience all in all. As someone who absolutely hates waiting in line, I was dreading checking in...but it turns out that since we didn't arrive at the hotel until almost midnight, there was only one person in line in front of us. Got a room in the West Tower on the same floor as the friends we met up with out there. View was of the interstate and the back parking lots of the hotel facing west...even with the air on full blast, the glass got kinda hot and made the room a little stuffy.

Room itself was decent-sized. Beds were comfortable but pillows were nowhere near my standard of fluffiness. Prompt housekeeping. Nice bathroom with HUGE shower and soaking tub, towels could stand to be a bit bigger though.

Casino is great, friendly staff--one baccarat dealer took like 20 minutes and showed me how to play. Plenty of low minimum tables, but they do fill up quick. I'm a little miffed that in order to use the One Card and get rated for comps you have to be at least a $25 minimum bettor--but that's really become the trend all up and down the Strip I guess. Sportsbook is small, but not as bad as others make it out to be. Prompt drink service.

Good eats at Pyramid Cafe, although it's a touch pricey. Good breakfast spot, quick service. Pharaoh's BUffet was OK for breakfast, but needed some eclairs at the sweets table...and there was a dreadful sewage smell near where the 2 lines come together. Decent food. The Reuben at the Nile Deli is a MUST HAVE!

All in all a good experience, would stay again. Another upside is it's pretty close to McCarran.

I stayed here at the Luxor over the 4th of July weekend. I was meeting 4 other guys, and we were all coming into town from different locations at different times.

I have to say, the people at the check in desk could not have been happier. My brother made a reservation for a room, and I made a seperate reservation. The lady at the front desk noticed this, and ensured we had adjoining rooms. We never even asked for this, but she noticed we had the same last name.

I played A LOT while I was at the Luxor. I love Poker, and spent 24 hours in their poker room in 3 days. The poker room just went through an expansion, so they had a few new dealers. However, they should be over their growing pains soon. If you check in with the floor person before and after your playing session, you can manage to get a few comps. I had over half my room rate taken care of through my poker play. It was great.

Hamadas has pretty decent sushi, but was pricey. The pool was nice, but as you can imagine, was packed over the 4th of July weekend. I'd like to see how it is on a normal weekend.

The only drawback to the Luxor is its location on the South end of the Strip. Its a cab ride or a long walk to the center strip.

I visit LV from Scotland, UK every year. Stayed in the Luxor for the first time last July and within a week of returning to Scotland, booked up for the Luxor again in June '05. Fantastic hotel with the best staff. Very friendly. Pharaoh's buffet excellent value for money. Stayed on the 25th floor of the pyramid and was petrified! When you come out of your room you can see straight down onto the Pharaoh's pavillion - no glass! That is my fault though as I am scared of heights and chose to stay there. Can't wait to return!
