- Good Visit Great value $32.00 on Saturday night in Vegas, rooms are worn, but clean and the staff is friendly and helpfull. It is also a plus when you win money in the casino.

- Good Visit We move around in Vegas, averaging 2-3 hotels per stay. LVC is one of the hotels that we keep returning to for value, great offers, decent rooms and casino action. If you want champagne tastes, do yourself a favor and stay on the Strip in a high end hotel - that's the only way you'll enjoy your own trip. If you appreciate a nice price, great location and you don't need every modern amenity, then give LVC a chance. North Tower rooms are best. I love the little counter in the bedroom area - we like to set up our coffee pot (bring your own) there. Also enjoy having a sink outside of the tub area. The roominess helps when staying for multiple nights and we've rarely had problems with any noise by neighbors. We appreciate the closeness to other casinos, making for ease in moving from place to place, especially at night. We enjoy meals elsewhere. The biggest negative is that the beds are a little on the thin side and you can really feel the lumps or the hard base that they sit the mattress on. To their credit, they've actually brought a mattress in and replaced the one that gave us problems once. I think the television offerings are better then some of the high end hotels on the Strip. I love the ease of getting in and out of the parking at LVC....so easy to get on the interstate to move to other places within Las Vegas.

- Good Visit Wow, these people really came to my rescue in Nov '07. I had awoke with a horrendous hangover and was flying out that night. I showered and checked out of my original room (Stratosphere) but I was too hung over to press on and needed rest, and desperately found a kiosk and booked a room at the Las Vegas Club for $40 thru Expedia. There was a message that noted my same-day arrival and indicated that "it may take up to 3 hours to show up in the hotel's computer system". Jeeze, I need seepie and I need it SOON; hope this doesn't trip me up.
It didn't. The front desk people took mercy on me, and even gave me a room in the supposedly nicer North Tower. Because my Expedia reservation wasn't in their system, they had to book me at their "rack rate" of $61 per night, but assured me that I would be credited this amount when my Expedia reservation hit their computer system. I was too tired to care.
The carpeting leading to my room in the North Tower was "frumpy" but my room itself was fairly large, and while the furniture was older it had a few "extras'" that my Stratosphere room didn't have. Best of all, it had thick glorious drapes that enabled me darken my room in the middle of the sunny afternoon in order to find blissful slumber.
I awoke and had a great shower (nice bathroom/vanity combo, good towels) and easily found their internet kiosk and printed my airline boarding pass, and ultimately checked out of the hotel on my cell phone on my way to the rental car return. Front desk service was phenomenal.
The Billing: they were great - heck they didn't even charge my card the original $61, and my Expedia reservation ulimately hit their system and covered everything. It was exactly what I needed in order to rally and enjoy my last few precious hours in Vegas (which I spent winning at the dice tables at the Orleans, btw. But that's a whoooooole nother story...)

- Good Visit Ok, its an old hotel, but for the price, it was clean, easy to get to , the fremont exp was great. had some trouble with the bathroom, but it was clean and clean each day. the room was large , larger then many of the rooms on the strip. you had to go to the plaza hotel roof top across the street if you wanted to go to the pool. But all in all for the price and close to everything you just cant beat the las vegas club.

- Undecided Overall feeling is that ownership is a cheapskate. Cheap plastic cups in bathroom, no mouthwash, barely enough towels, in general disliked cheap bathroom...small toilet, small shower, odd configuration.
No view to speak of, at least room they stuck me in.
Bed was okay
Kind of roomy
Good drawer space
Upper Deck restrnt was okay, but prime rib I ordered may have been microwaved, hope not!

- Undecided My partner & myself had a great Holiday, in November, 2005, & we couldn't wait to come back & bring my sister, & booked for June 1st this year to celebrate my 60th Birthday, couldn't think of a better place to do it, i am disabled & found the Hotel suited my needs admirably. Unfortunately owing to my ill health we were unable to make the visit, but have booked again for December, & thoroughly looking forward to it. & seeing all the staff again who treated us so very well.
June Pitman.
UK.
Having had to cancel in June, my partner & i couldn't wait to come back bringing my sister, having told her how good it was,but was disapointed, we stayed on the 7th floor in the south tower, expecting to see the re-furbishing, but there obviously wasn't any done here, although the room was comfortable, & suited our needs except we would have liked to open the window but it was sealed with a note warning us not to open as it would break.Room service was not as good as last year, i am disabled with other health problems as has my sister, for 2 days we had to stay in our room, my partner went to Casinos on Freemont street although he did use the hotel ones too, thinking we would be able to ring for food, only we were told only sandwiches or toast, unlike last year, which meant he had to go to the upper deck order it & bring it back, not satisfactory. The food in the upper deck was also disapointing compared to last year, we thought we would try fried chicken one night, but having cut into it, it was not cooked, on complaing the waitress told us that's how it comes it's all cooked in the same pot, & to basically eat it, suffice to say we didn't the staff in the upper deck in the main were pleasant & friendly & very welcoming.
The bar staff left a lot to be desired in that they were more interested in talking to each other or customers & ignoring those who were waiting, ecxept Vincent, a good bartender, & very friendly & welcoming, had time to chat without neglecting other customers, as some of the time my sister not being gamblers would sit at the bar, He even took time to say goodbye when we were leaving on 22nd his day off, thanks Vincent.
We had a good time but i'm afraid not as good as last year. Will have to think about returning this time.

- Good Visit We stayed Friday - Monday, first week in December. Got a room in the North tower on the 8th floor. This is the first time we've stayed since the renovations and the room was GREAT!!! Large, with a view of Main Street, clean and well renovated. Bathroom was good size and up to date, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water with no wait. Shampoo, lotion and bar soap supplied and of good quality. The casino hasn't changed much, but we did quite well on dollar and quarter slots and VP. If you are downtown people, like us, the Vegas Club is a good value. We have stayed often in the past and will definately stay there again.

- Undecided I don't know what they are doing with this casino. Everytime we go they have moved the slots around. The
machines are very tight. The rooms are decent. The north tower is older and the rooms aren't that nice.
The south tower is much better. Rooms are a nice size. DO NOT EAT AT THE UP DECK!!!!! They possible
have the worst food downtown and thats saying something. The waitress are ok. The other hotel staff
sucks. They charged my moms credit card twice. Once again do not expect strip quality.

They do have bar soap and shampoo provided in the room and good quality towels.
Sports Book has closed down/ bartender said they're getting ready to do some renovations/upgrades to the area it occupied.

- Undecided This was a last minute trip my wife and I planned, we decided that $300 for a room on the strip was too much and we settled on the Vegas Club for $53. Well you get what you pay for, the room was somewhere in the middle of average to sub-par. Couch was torn, while showering I was standing ankle deep in water, gross! The bed cover smelled, I finally called down for another room to be told that none were available. There were a couple good things, the room was very large and very, very quiet, which was a good feature.
Having said all that, again $53 on a Saturday night in Vegas is awesome, so keeping in mind that we didn't spend that much time in the room, I'd still consider it a good deal, but again you get what you pay for!

- Good Visit There are good and bad issues with every hotel, and all I wish to report on is my room, since I spent little time in the Vegas Club Casino and ate elsewhere. (I just hate when people only write here about their casino experiences without staying at the hotel!) My room was in the South Tower during mid-week. The room was quite clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The shower had great water pressure, and I didn't miss a tub/shower combination at all. (Why would I? Bring your own toiletries as you would for any budget hotel, but their soap was AOK. The room smelled very fresh and although the carpet showed some minor wear, it was very clean. Maid service was prompt and thorough. The one item I would like to share with folks here is that the room was VERY soundproof as far as the hallway and other rooms. My small window faced the Plaza to the west, and no noise came into my room whatsoever. My stay was a very relaxing one, especially since I was able to sleep in silence. My room rate was $30/night, and it was a bargain. I didn't miss any 'frills'. The location is excellent, whether you drive, take a bus or taxi. Just remember you're not at the Four Seasons...

- Undecided I would have to say I was disappointed in my stay here. Be prepared with a compass to find the registration desk, parking elevators, and room elevators. It is not laid out very well. For the buffet and pool, you have to go to the Plaza next door. (The Plaza breakfast buffet was excellent! And inexpensive!) The room was alright, it was clean. However, for amenities, go somewhere else. I was not at all impressed with this hotel. Understanding it is an older hotel, in the less expensive section of Vegas, it didn't offer anything remarkable. I was more impressed with visiting (not staying in) the Plaza and staying at Fitzgeralds.

- Bad Visit Dump is right. Reserved five rooms 2 weeks in advance, at $150 a night each. Took for ever to get checked in, one clerk on duty. Elevator slow, hallways dirty. Room dirty, scuff marks on the door, burns and large stains on floor. Bathroom dirty, wallpaper peeling. Fake balcony (broken window frame) strewn with hooker ads, beer cans, and cigarettes. Small TV, remote didn't work (wrong brand). Took an hour to get checked out. Valet moves like a pedigreed racing snail. I would not stay here again ever.

every year in October for Golf, Football and Table Games and the Club is convenient and very affordable.
They offer excellent room comp deals after you have stayed there once or twice. The value can not be

property the Plaza, which has one of the best Sportsbooks in Vegas.

- Good Visit Stayed here the weekend of Vegas 100th birthday celebration ,was lucky to get a room for the price we paid here. We got the South tower room, it was very comfortable and clean enough ( need to use the vacuum on the edges of the room )For the price we paid, it really wasnt that bad. No problems with the elevators, quick and no long waits.
Went to the Upperdeck and
had the $2.99 steak and eggs at 4 AM, the server was friendly but we had to wait for our food more than half an hour. Visited again the next morning during regular hours and our order came quick.
Location was perfect if you want to stay downtown to enjoy the Light Shows, the strip is not that far away, was able to go to the Stratosphere in no time by taking Main Street.
Go for a short walk and Shop at the Walgreens for needed toiletries and souvenirs, they are cheaper there.

- Good Visit Stayed here the first two nights (1/29 and 1/30) of a ten night trip. Choose the south tower thinking we would be able to look down onto the Freemont St experience. We had a east facing room and stared at the Gold Spike. The room was clean and had some minor renovations done to it such as new caulking in the bath and new carpet and painting. The north tower is suppose to be much more updated. Had lunch at the Upper Deck. We thought it was like a bar with pub food. Its more like a cafeteria. Food wasn't any good-but thats are fault for ordering prime rib at noon. I feel we received reheated leftovers from the previous night. Had dinner at the Great Moments room based on the review below. My wife had the filet and scallops and I had the strip steak-both great. Casino treated ok. Hit 1k on spin of a WOF machine. Hit $250.00 also on WOF. Cards just didn't fall right in blackjack. They comped our room and both meals that were charged to the room. Clean safe place to stay.

- Good Visit Excellent Hotel/Casino. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is fast and friendly. The food at the Upper deck was good and worth the price. However they should offer more Hawaiian/Local type food like the CAL. Other than that, I rate this Hotel #1 in my book for price and value. I will be back in April/May 2008.

- Good Visit I stayed for three nights in June. I booked the room on the Internet for about $125, including a Saturday night. The room was in the South Tower, but it was a very nice room. I don't mind the soap dispenser instead of the bars of soap. If it helps them keep prices down, go for it.
The room was clean, I had plenty of water pressure, but then I showered fairly early all three days. Garage was easy to get into and out of. From Ogden St., you can get to the freeway or Las Vegas Blvd. really easily.
I like the casino. There's lots of elbow room and walking around room and I like the sports bar theme. I like Jacks or Better video poker, which they didn't have at the full-pay level, but there were plenty of full pay and even some positive expectation games. I didn't play blackjack there, since their sister property, the Plaza, has better blackjack rules. If you do $4K coin-in in slots/video poker over 3 days, you get a future 3-night stay comped.
The casino opens right onto the Fremont Street experience, so if you like downtown, the location is terrific. All told, an excellent experience and a tremendous value.

- Good Visit Having not stayed Downtown for several years, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Las Vegas Club.
Originally, I was given a south tower room, but was upgraded to the north tower just for the asking. The room was great, very large and spacious with king bed, loveseat, sitting chairs and glass coffee table, armoire with large television, and plenty of space in the bathroom. The room was spotless and serviced daily. The bright, cheery decor and condition of the room was on par with decent places on the Strip, and compares most closely with the Flamingo, Harrah's or the Monte Carlo in terms of quality. For what I paid ($22/night) I could not have asked for anything better.
Overall, I found the entire property clean and well-maintained, the people friendly, and the location convenient at the top of the Fremont Street Experience ideal for moving around from place to place with ease and security. Given the opportunity, I would choose the Las Vegas Club again.

A fantastic, value for money downtown hotel. I stayed for the second time in May ($22 room - south tower, sort of holiday inn rooms without the trouser press, the north towers are of a higher standard) - what stands out are that the soap is in a dispenser, the basin and mirror are in a sheltered area outside
the bathroom and that you get in-room movie capability - there is no way you could argue with the price. The casino is spacious, airey and up-to-date as far as the slots are concerned, the tables are very friendly. Waitress service is normally fast and repetative. I'm well into double figures for trips to Vegas and done the Strip thing many times - at the moment I much prefer downtown, everywhere being accessible and, in any event, you can get to the Strip for $2 on the CAT. This hotel seems to attract a younger clientelle that other dt casinos. Overall, a great place - highly recommended.

- Good Visit This was my second visit to Las Vegas Club. If you are looking for a place to lay your head that is perfectly functional (but with no frills in the room) and is a great value, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place for this price. Weeknight rooms can be had for about $25 easily, and I've had them for under $20. The beds are fine, the bathroom is fine (ask for a bar of soap; they will provide it; otherwise, it's a soap dispenser, which is kind of funny), and the safe is convenient. It's a little dated, but who cares? If you think anything less than the Venetian is unacceptable, you shouldn't be looking downtown anyway. If you've stayed in a Motel 6, this is a step up. The rooms actually aren't small at all. As for the casino, it's a decent place to play cheap table games and drink for next to nothing. It's also great to be able to gamble at different places downtown at the end of the night, drink a lot, and not worry about driving back to your hotel. The Upper Deck has good breakfast food and grease food for cheap. I'm in my mid 20's and stayed here with my friends. If you're my age and aren't a spoiled brat, you'll like this place just fine. If you like saving money, you'll like it here, too.

My first clue that this was going to be a bad experience was when the cab driver asked whey we would choose the Las Vegas Club to stay in. I should have kept my initial thought and checked in elsewhere.
Evidently, the vaccums don't work in the elevator, filthy floors, dirty mirrors. The vaccums also don't get within 2 inches of the sides of the carpet. No bars of soap, I brought my own. My husband failed to tell me until we got home that he killed a few crickets next to our bed. And the WORST is they ask for a credit card in case you have any "incidentals". Believe me there is nothing to do in your room, you can't even set an alarm because there isn't one. Anyway, they didn't bother to tell me that they were going to hold $100 on my debit card (which is more than I paid for 3 nights there). I came home to go grocery shopping and found out someone was holding money on my card. I have been home now for almost 2 days and have received nothing but the run around from The Las Vegas Club. They can't seem to unauthorize my money that they are holding for nothing. My rooms were prepaid with a credit card in December. In the meantime I'm out $100 of my own money. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE and I would have rather paid $100 per night and received a clean nice room with soap and competent staff.

- Good Visit Visited several times in the past but stayed my first time this year through an internet special of 25.95 per night. The property is very small and easy to get around. After checking in, a staff member offered to show me where the south tower elevators were located. I thought that was a nice gesture on his part. I was a little disappointed with the room. It was very clean but in bad need of renovation. The sink drained slowly, there were a couple of tiles missing in the shower, the carpet was well worn. There are no room amenities. No soap( a dispenser in the shower) no hair drier not even an alarm. Even at a low room rate they should at least have an alarm clock. I ended up buying one at walgreens on freemont street. The eating options are limited but there are plenty of places close by to go to. I got a comp to the upper deck restaraunt. The food was inexpensive and oily. I won't eat there again even if it was free. The casino is small. I play table games and they only have about 20 or so games. The limits were low ($5 and up) and the dealers and pit staff were extremly friendly. Even with the limited games, I played there most of the time. The one major thing that bothered me was the offensive, overpowering smell in the entire property. It turned that it was some sort of air sanitizer they were using in all the gaughin propertys. As far as staying again? I would definitly play there again but would only stay if the room rate was under $20.00

- Good Visit Stayed at the Las Vegas Club for the first time last week.I had a coupon from the Las Vegas Advisor for $25 for two nights. Even though there not the worlds greatest rooms for the value they are great !!! My only gripe about this hotel is that for the 12 stories of so for the south tower they only had two elevators which at busy times could take 4 mins or so to get a ride. Other then that the room was great and so was the service. I know that Jackie sold this and his other downtown properties and I hope the new owners will keep everything the same as this is Downtowns best kept secret !!

- Bad Visit I'm pretty forgiving about problems with hotels, but not this time. Stayed here 5 months ago and when we checked into the room the bath tub was full of mud. Apparently they were doing plumbing in the room next door and it backed up into our room. They cleaned it up and all was fine.
Well this time we checked in and everything seemed fine (actually not true.. the key cards didn't work first time and I had to go downstairs to get them re-keyed). That is until we got back to our room at 1am and I wanted to take a quick shower before going to sleep. The water got nice and warm but when I lifted the knob to get the water to come out of the shower head up on the wall, nothing happened. I couldn't get the water to come out of the top at all. I called the front desk and was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I got impatient and hung up. At that point I just wanted to go to sleep, so I went without a shower and went to bed. My girlfriend was very unhappy to discover the shower was not working when she woke up in the morning.
We woke up too late to even bother calling to get the shower fixed, so we just checked out. Expressed my disappointment to the checkout staff and they knocked my room rate down from $34 to $25. I wasn't happy about that and hoped they would at least comp us lunch or something, but nope. At least the staff was friendly and apologetic.
I will not stay here again. Both times I stayed here out of necessity when we decided to stay an extra day in Vegas and the room we were staying in was too expensive. The rooms themselves are okay for the money you pay, but I expect at least a bed and a shower at ANY hotel, and I didn't get that here. The pillows were uncomfortable too. If you're looking for cheap decent accomodations downtown, try the Lady Luck. Unfortunately there were no vacancies there when we were in town.

- Good Visit I have stayed at the LVC three times and hope to again. It has a sports theme without being in-your-face about it, and I enjoy looking at the various sportsly memorabilia on display. Disliking big hotels as I do, this place has always been perfect for me, with the great downtown location and friendly atmosphere and service making each stay memorable. The off-season rates can't be beat, often lower than budget motels, and it isn't unreasonable in other months. It is the nicest moderately priced hotel I've had the pleasure to stay at, easily outvaluing many of the older spots on the Strip. Downtown Las Vegas isn't Siberia and should be experienced by more visitors.
