If you have a car, this property is a very nice option for the money. It is similar to Orleans in many respects. The rooms are spacious and clean. It almost seems like there should be more in the room to fill up the space, but all the basics are covered.
This spa isn't on the ratings list yet, so I'll give my comments here. I only have one other to compare it to (Red Rock) and I would say it is right on par with the "classier" property. I enjoyed a relaxing massage and the spa facilities. The one downside to the spa is the sandals they provide are very uncomfortable. Bring your own if possible.

Stayed here for 5 nights over NASCAR weekend. Great rooms, great staff, great dining options. I had decent luck in the casino; my bankroll lasted awhile on the machines. Drink service was very good as well. Just a great stay overall. I would stay here again.

I had an absolutely abhorring experience here, this "hotel" is scary dangerous and unsafe! I booked 15 nights and by day 1 I was continually harassed catcalled etc with degrading remarks BY HOTEL EMPLOYEES! I filed a report with "security" who was untrustworthy and physically pushed me around. Some of my belongings are missing and they are no help. Please be safe and don't stay here! I have not been refunded for the unused portion of my stay and surprise surprise they're being completely uncooperative. STAY AWAY!!

Everything was fantastic here except the room service. I had room service deliver a shrimp cocktail and bread pudding to my room. I told the lady on the phone I would be paying cash and was not told a total so I figured that the room service would have change. Food arrived and the woman threw a slight hissy fit that I didn’t have change and should have called back downstairs to ask for the total or tell them I would need change (how was I to know?) so she went back for change came back still with an attitude and basically threw the change into my hand and stormed off. Now room service adds a $5 delivery fee and 20% gratuity so for this small “offense” from me should not have caused such a problem. I go to sit down and my shrimp cocktail consists of 5 yes I said 5 shrimp for the price of 11.99. Come on! I texted this info to a friend of mine who replied “Quick call the cops you got raped on the charges”. On top of that the shrimp tasted a bit funny. The bread pudding was hard and cold.

The Fitz has been "our home away from home". We have enjoyed a friendly staff, good service and great prices on rooms, & an upgraded food area. The convenience of the parking, closeness of rooms and a compact feeling is just great! We wouldn't stay on the strip even for free!

We didn't stay here on this visit but we did play and eat here and we do recommend that you do too. The casino was paying out as well as the other casinos, never enough but the drink service was good and the staff friendly. We did eat at both the Galary (was Paddel Wheel) and the boiler room. Both were very good for service, food quality and value.

We didn't stay here but we did play here for a day. The casino is much better than I remember it from a couple of years ago, the staff was friendly and the casino service was good. We will put the Golden Nugget back on the list of casinos worth gambeling at in Laughlin.

We just got back from a couple of days at the Trop and again wonderful. We got a great rate so could not pass it up. Thge room was fine and the hotel staff was great as always. The buffet and 24 resturant are very good places to eat. The prime rib is the best I have every had, you cut it with your fork and the taste leaving you wanting more.
Another good experience at the Trop. The service was excellent the rooms excellent just don'thave much lick at the slots but that is par for the course for us at any casino. We used our comps twice and enjoyed the free food.
We have stayed at the Tropicana before but this time we had the upgraded rooms. The upgraded rooms are worth the extra money. This was another very nice visit to the Tropicana in Laughlin.

Just got back from another pleasent trip to Laughlin and the Aquarius. We did not stay here this trip because we got a better deal at anothe casino. The dinner buffet is the best on the river, good selection and prepared very well. The casion service is also very good and I do recommend starying eating and playing here.
Once again another pleasent visit to the Aquarius. We took the fun bus from Phoenix excellent way to get there.
We were in laughlin for 2 days and only briefly left the Aquarius, why it was great there. We ate all of our meals there and enjoyed each one. Larry the manager for the resturnt and buffet has a friendly staff and make eating there fun. The rooms were clean, quite and comfortable. Drink service excellent.

Stayed at the fitz feb. 20-24.Had a great stay,super value $23 per sun-tue I4vegas.com .Rooms are basic but clean.Elevators worked well.Some people whine ,but you are not paying $250 per night like on some strip places.Would stay again.

Rampart Casino has gone way down. Use to go there several times a week to eat and play. The coffee shop has gone way down. Wait times can be 45 - one hour. Then slow service. Buffet cashier has bad attitude. Not the first time that has happened. The machines are so so. Lots of smoke in the casino. The place use to be top notch in service. The customer base has gone down too.

Stayed for 7 Nights during the Superbowl. The reason I chose to stay at the Excal rather than my regular home at the Monte Carlo was because of an e-mail with great rates. The Excal also did not bump up the price of a night during superbowl weekend as most all other hotels do. I was given one of the cupon books at checkin and did not use any of them during our stay. We stayed in tower 2. It was nice because we rented a car and were able to park very close to the entrance to our tower. The room was very nice. It actually surprised me. We got the Delux room with plazma TV. This was also the first time I have been in Vegas and got free internet in the room. I usually have to pay around $15 for 24 hrs. This had to save me $100 alone during our stay. Maid service was good. Bathroom was huge with a granite countertop and makeup mirror. We ate 1 day at the buffet with the all day promotion for $29. It was worth it I guess. We ate twice, but after eating so much at a buffet it is hard to go back again and again. No complaints the food was good. We are poker players, so hearing that the Excal had a big poker room was a plus. I was mostly card dead except for one session that I turned $100 into $400 in two hours playing 1-2 NL. The poker room was running a pretty cool promo. If you got a 4 of a kind or any straight flush using at least 1 card in your hand you get to spin a big money wheel and get paid out. Unfortunatly I didnt get to spin but it was fun watching people spin it. One thing that upset me was that a couple times late in the night there was not a single table going in the poker room. For that reason, I will probably go back to the Monte unless the price at the Excal is too good to pass up. Its just so nice to sit in a game through the wee hours of the morning. Didn't do much gambling at the casino besides a couple of $20's in the VP machines from time to time but it seemed like a not bad place to gamble. All in all, the price for the room along with the free internet could not be beat for a strip hotel, especially during the superbowl. I may stay again if the prices are not the best at the monte. If I wasnt a poker player I would stay here again for sure.. But I need a 3am game.. Im sure you poker players understand.

Stayed for a mini vacation 1/24 for 2 nights. Checked in at the towers stayed in Pyramid. If you stay there check in at the tower as there was no one in line to check in. Also valet that side as well. Room is worn out. Looked like bathroom was upgraded but that was about it. Water stains under the window. Coffee shop limited menu and was very costly. Glad the food court was there. Disappointed during the stay. Will not stay there again.

Dark and dingy hotel. Hotel rooms leak when it rains, holes in the walls of the room, carpets dirty. Housekeeping can clean your room in the time it takes you to walk down to the lobby and back (how clean is it really?). Front desk was not friendly at all. I don't think it would kill anyone to crack a smile. They didn't even ask us how our stay was when we checked out. Could that be because no one is happy staying there? Go on trip advisor. The ratings are spot on with how horrible this hotel is.

We just returned from a 4 day trip to Las Vegas and took 3 rooms at The Luxor.
We were placed in the pyramid rooms. We discovered that my daughter's room had a leaky window when she sat in a chair under the window and found it to be soaking wet. We had 2 separate occasions in our room that involved housekeeping. The minor one was when dirty glasses were left in our room after being cleaned. The second and most serious was when housekeeping totally missed cleaning our room. After some words with them we were able to at least get some clean towels.
We found the casino to be lacking. The selection of slots is bad and they are very tight.
The only bright spot we found was the food court. I never thought I'd say it, but thank god for McDonald's.
We usually stay at The Orleans Hotel which by far a better value than what we just experienced.

Didn't stay in the hotel, only came to gamble. We like Binion's, but this year they changed a lot of things around. Took out the machines we like to play. Also it seems the machines we did play (about 6 hours worth and nothing to speak of) were VERY VERY Tight. We'll give them another chance next visit in the summer.

Don't know about the rooms 'cause we did not stay there. Just played in the casino. Every year (at least twice a year for the last 4 years) we loved going to Sahara to play/gamble. However this year was bad. The waitresses were slow and not very accomidating, the drinks seemed watered down (more than usual), the machines were tighter than tight, and the whole place just seemed run down. Not a very good experience this year. Now granted we don't go there expecting to win millions, but some play back would have been nice. I've never seen this place so tight. We won't be back.

Fun place... NOT for Kids, but then VEGAS is NOT for KIDS. (Sorry family people... Vegas is for Adults and it needs to go back to that.) Rooms are spacious and clean. Waitresses are HOT, and service was good. The bed was comfortable, however the pillows were less so. Rooms have all the ammenities, e.i. coffee maker, frig, TV, etc. The view from the room is top notch. Casino is large and has plenty to offer for your play. Tables are a little pricey... no $1 or $5 tables, but still they are a plenty. Machines range from pennys to the upper limits with a wide assortment of types. Yeah it's off the strip, but they have a FREE shuttle that runs every half hour to Paris and Harrahs til 1AM. Will definately go back.

Although we previously wrote that we would not return to this hotel, we received an offer we could not ignore and since the construction at City Center is no longer an issue we did return. Rooms are dated but clean and staff throughout the hotel were pleasent. Slots were tight and VP a challenge with poor paytables. Food was average but affordable. A good location makes it easy to visit other casinos and the tram allows easy access to City Center and the Bellagio. With the right offer we would return.

This was our 4th visit to the Venetian and it continues to be our favorite hotel on the strip. From the time we arrive to the time we leave we are treated royally by the staff. A wide variety of food venues make it affordable for all tastes, while the entertainment possibilities are numerous and among the best on the strip. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. We didn't have a lot of luck in the casino but it is a busy fun place to play. Can't wait to return to the Venetian.

The rooms, although not particularly large, are beautiful and the technology make them fun. The staff was pleasent, however when we required assistance to locate plugins for our CPAP machines it took 2 hours before someone came to show us that they were behind the bed and access meant that the mattress and the box spring had to be moved. They then said someone would be back with extension cords but that never happened. Fortunately, our plugs just reached and we were able to put the mattress and box spring back in place ourselves.
The casino is extremely dark and is a graveyard for VP players. We found it a little uncomfortable to play in but all the staff we met were there to please.
The tram between Monte Carlo/Aria - Crystals - Bellagio is very convenient and a great way to move between these destinations. The only way to the strip from Aria is a long walk which is not convenient for those with disabilities or those of us advancing in age (not a problem yet). If you like walking (and I do) there are many sights to see through the whole complex without having to go outside.
Be prepared to have a hefty budget for food if you are going to eat at any of the restaurants.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Aria but it is not our first choice for hotels on the strip.

Hard Rock is cool enough if you ask me. I never stayed there and i can see that some stuffy old timers would find it intimidating. But if your young (im 31) and like classic rock and top 40 music, this is a good place. Ive never had a problem getting service. People who complain about not getting service are the same one who probably tip ten cents for a round of beers. And people, everything is expensive in Vegas if its not getting comped or your in some dump, not just at the Hard Rock. Its worth it for me to catch a cab there, cuz once a trip i'll take one to the HRH and then walk over to the Terribles for a few more hours before going back to the strip. Fun place, period.

The NY/NY is a really nice place. Its beautifully layed out and has a very nice atmosphere. The only thing i dont like is that i like video keno and at least as of the last time i was out there they only had a few machines, so i dont gamble there much. The rooms are very nice and a few times I got comped a players suite and those are marvelous! Its connected to MGM which is a bonus, since its so big and roomy and a nice palce to spend some time. MGM is also a monorail stop which keeps you from having to take a cab or the boot leather express to get North down the strip. Im going back in April, and am gonna stay here since they were kind enough to comp me 3 nights free. Great place with good restaurants as well.

My favorite casino in Vegas. Stayed here many times. The rooms are sufficient for what i need (bed, shower, toilet, tv, etc.) and not far from the casino floor. The pool is is just fine if your looking for a tan and a dip in the pool. I hear everyone downing the service here, but i find it excellent. Of course i play video keno at the bar so the drinks are one after another after another after another, etc.! I love classic rock and all that, so the dealertainers are hilarious and the music is great. And if there was a vegas location olympics the Palace would win the gold medal. Right dead center in the middle of everything and next door to another favorite spot of mine, the Casino Royale. I would recommend the Imperial to anyone not looking to high flute or catch a glimpse of Britney Spears. They are very generous with comp dollars in comparison to most places as well. If you wanna good time and good value, the Imperial Palace is for you.

I dont know how this place caught such a high rating. I only went in once in my 15 or so trips to Vegas and there is a reason for that. Me and my brother were in Vegas and decided to go there based on all the reviews of how good the payouts are and the service is so good. It was the worst. Filthiest casino ive ever been in. And Im fro Detroit so thats saying something. We zig zagged thru the bums and found some video keno machines that we wanted to play. I never say an ashtray that resembled mt. rushmore. They looked like they hadnt been emptied or wiped out in a week. Picture a mound of old butts and ashes spilling over onto the ledges then ashes all over the floor. I smoke and it was still very disgusting. Dont think we had a waitress come by in 2 hours, thats about all we could last there anyway. On top of everything, we couldnt win a thing between us. Dont believe the hype, this is on my list of worst vegas casinos.

I havent been to Vegas in 3-4 years but i used to go once or twice per year before that. Im finally going back again in April and this will be one of my first stops! I never stayed here, but its a regular gambling spot of mine. Its one of the most fun atmospheres in vegas in my book. The dollar/free magaritas are the best on a hot day when youve already had 15 beers and need a change. Ive had great luck on their video keno machines, once having $200 left (with 1.5 days left!) and turned it into $1600 on one machine and it saved my trip. I find the service to be above average, probably due to the size realtive to say MGM Grand where sometimes you cant find a waitress. Anyway if youve never been to Vegas or never went into the Royale, do yourself a favor and check it out. Great drinks, good service, a Subway sandwich shop, goofy vegas t-shirts and probably the one place where everyone is smiling and having alot of fun!

I booked a regular suite here for $120...they proceeded to upgrade me for free to the penthouse suite. Unbelievable. Its as big as my house. marble floors, breathtaking views, 2 bedrooms - 2 bathrooms - 2 jetted tubs -wet bar - super comfy beds - tv that pops up at the foot of the bed. Wow!
The staff was incredibly friendly and personable - front desk, dealers, housekeeping, restaurants. I didn't feel any element of pretensiousness here like you find at some of the other upscale Vegas hotels.
Casino has some solid table games including European Roulette (very hard to find). Slots were tight but there was some decent Video Poker to be found at full pay levels.
Restaurants were all high quality but on the pricey side. I quickly learned to use my rental car and go elsewhere. Carnegie Deli charges over $10 for a sandwhich Ala Carte. The buffet is very good and not overpriced.

My husband and I stayed from Nov.8 - 11th and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The rooms are outstanding and the service was very good. Check-in took 2 minutes with a very pleasant person. Never had any trouble getting a drink on the casino floor and the comps have greatly improved. My husband is a Blackjack player and I am always at the slots, both were better than we had remembered from previous visits. We have planned a longer trip this summer for our anniversary, and can't wait to get back to the Venetian!

We were there on the first day of the year because everything was sold out and price were more than $500 in many other places. They had many rooms and they did not check us in until later on and room was not ready. It took more than few hours to get the room ready after we checked in. Room was not clean... burn marks everywhere ... window was dirty and curtain was falling everywhere and ripped from the ceiling. called front desk to fix that and after 24 hours it was not fixed. we were missing personal belonging after maid cleaner the room. maid was pocketing stuff that was left behind from previous guest instead of sending it to front desk. No one was friendly... no one wanted to give any service at... everyone was very bitter and i understand it was very busy but very poor management. We would never stay there. Moved to Caesars Palace for two more nights and it was great. The palace was much busier but their service was better and prompt. Do your self a favor and reserve your room early and stay at Caesars... you will enjoy it.

I don't usually take the time to post reviews for bad experiences but this was too much.
The background to the story is my stepfather is dying from Leukemia and this was a family gathering for what we think would be our last time with him.
I had family coming to visit for Christmas and booked 3 rooms at the Gold Coast all with double beds in order to accommodate everyone in our party. Well what does the hotel tell us?they don't have enough double beds.then I asked for rollaway beds and they said they cost
extra and you get one per room.I explained the problem to their supervisor and he was no help.This was embarrassing to me because
how are people supposed to sleep comfortably.They still would not help.
Also the beds had very badly done linens with stains and there was no
comforter/duvet on the beds just badly done ugly sheets.
The rooms came with 2 free lunch buffets as described on the website.
they only gave us 2 for 1 room and had to beg for them to give us 2 more
and never mind the first room they gave us nothing.
Well when family tried to use the free lunch buffet they were told the free tickets did not apply to Dec 25 ...hello! we checked in on Dec 24 thru the 26th.what a joke!!
Overall this hotel made me look like an Idiot to Family,I was trying to make everyone comfortable and instead it was a horrible Christmas ordeal. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend them.

We are a family from England and we spent two memorable weeks at Circus Circus. We had a fantastic time at this ultra child friendly hotel. I was warned by friends who had previously travelled to Vegas that Circus Circus had seen better days. And yes it has. But it offers the family on a budget excellent value and loads to do. Check-in was easy. The Adventuredome indoor theme park is good value, if somewhat lacking in the latest thrill rides. And the free to watch circus has a range of excellent acts to keep the kids (and mum and dad) happy. The buffet is also very good value and on a par with those which charge up to 50% more, including the Luxor.
Circus Circus is at the unfashionable end of the strip, but is very handy for the Stratosphere (the rides at the top of which are a must-do. Also recommended is Slots-A-Fun, a small and cosy casino which is right outside Circus Circus and which does good value happy hour drinks.
The room was spacious and clean. The only minor criticism was the bathroom, which was rather sscruffy.
The only problem we had was with a cleaner who shouted at my daughter in a foreign language in the rest room of the buffet. After complaining, we were offered a free ticket for the following night.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Circus Circus to all families who are looking to do Las Vegas on a budget. People without children on a budget should stay over the road at The Riviera.

I stayed here in 1/05 and again in 3/05. In January, our visit coincided with a huge Verizon convention so we were upgraded to Honeymoon Suites which were awesome. I've read that Mandalay Bay has the best bathrooms on the strip and I believe it. Excellent soaking tub. The room itself was large with a so-so view(westward, so we saw THE Hotel and the Orleans). I was surprised to find several $5 Blackjack tables during the morning hours which is when I do my gambling(of course they were gone by the late afternoon). In my opinion the Sportsbook here is the best on the strip. No complaints and an upgrade=a favorable visit.
The second visit in March was also good. The Desk Clerk asked if I would like to try one of the House of Blues rooms. If you are asked, say yes. There is no extra charge and the rooms are way up on the 34th floor. I haven't seen a regular room yet but I assume that the House of Blues floor is like all of the others except that the rooms are decorated differently. I don't know how to describe them but if you see them, you'll say "Yep, thats the House of Blues alright". They told me it was a partial strip view and it was but it was mostly a great view of McCarren field which I really dug. Once again, they did have two or so $5 blackjack tables in the morning hours. Once again, no complaints. Really enjoyed myself. From now on, when I go to Vegas, Mandalay Bay will be my first choice hotel(use to be Luxor. Not a knock on them, still like the joint) if I can afford the rates. When I went in January it was two nights at 139 and 149. In March it was 3 nights at 119. I reckon thats not too bad considering the quality. Of course, on the more expensive nights, you can count me out.
1/08 spent 2 nights at THE hotel which was the nicest room I have ever stayed in. It is isolated from the rest of the resort but I guess that's part of the plan. 2 room suite, bath and a half,"wet bar",2 big tvs,Small screen tv in the john,big comfortable bed and big sitting area couch. When I stayed here it was $169 a night for 2 nights and this was as cheap as it ever got. In 2 weeks I will be staying there for $75 a night for 3 nights. I know the recession has hit room rates in Vegas but $75 a night at this place is obscenely cheap by anybody's standards. The Wynn,Bellagio and the Venetian haven't come down nearly as much as THE hotel and the rooms here are nicer than either Bellagio or Venetian (haven't stayed at the Wynn). Anyone else remember when Mandalay Bay never went below $109 for a standard room(now available for $65 or so)? Its a beautiful time to be going to Vegas!

$31 a night. Thats right. $31 a night. The rooms are not special like the Venetian, Bellagio,Mandalay Bay or even Luxor for that matter but they are good enough and nicer than IP. Didn't play the slots but did play Blackjack with the stupid 6-5 and restricted doubling rules. Bottom line, I would absolutely stay here again for the right price. Its probably not as bad a joint as you are thinking from some of the reviews I'm reading here.
Stayed here again 9/09. The place has gotten obscenely cheap. I have email offers for $20 a night and it is rarely over $40 all year. They have remodeled most of the rooms and they are nicer. They have loosened the rules at BJ regarding 6/5 BJ and restricted doubling. If there is one thing that bugs me it is that you only get 7-8 channels on your TV.

Didn't stay at Luxor but visited the casino. Oh, how it has gone downhill over the years. Confusing layout, dealers who don't seem to know what they are doing. Pit bosses who don't seem to care. No wonder it was so empty compared to other casinos around town. Luxor seems to be on the way out.

Revisited Paris again before Christmas. As usual, rooms are very nice with small coffee maker and usual amenities. Housekeeping service was excellent. Restaurant choices include a variety of types at different price levels. Casino is average, but table games do not open until noon, so go to an MGM- Mirage hotel if you want to gamble in the morning. Beverage service was excellent at the tables.

Hollywood Hip room was relatively small and on the dark side with only one fairly small window. Resort rooms are nicer. Casino is nice, but table games generally do not open until noon. They have reduced payoffs at Video Poker machines to rip-off levels. Good selection of restaurants in hotel and in Miracle Mile shops. Good beverage service at the tables and machines. Their coffee shop, Planet Dailies, was very good. Spice Market Buffet is still excellent.

I visited the Rio last year, and overall, the experience was good. The rooms are big, but nothing special. We did have a decent view from our room, though, as the floor-to-ceiling windows are nice. Check-in was easy enough. Moderate wait, but nothing too crazy. The restaurants were nice, although we found the buffet to be a bit overpriced and overrated. The All American grill is where it's at. The casino was nice enough, although, as was the case with a lot of casinos at the time we visited, they didn't have all their tables running, and it was sometimes hard to get on a table right away. The Rio's biggest downfall is it's location. While not a huge deal, or deal breaker, it IS a hassle to constantly have to find some sort of shuttle or cab to get to or from any other casino. Besides the Palms, you can't really walk anywhere. Overall, though, we had fun and the Rio was enjoyable. I'd go back.

Stayed 2nd week in December, hotel was as expected stayed on the 12th floor, good showers lots of hot water FAST. Walls are thin, you could hear the doors slamming as people went in/out of the rooms, EXCELLENT views. One of our rooms face the airport (east) which gave us something to talk about as we relaxed in the room and pre-gamed. The other room gave us a view of the NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. The beds were comfortable (probably the best I've experienced in Vegas thus far), the staff friendly and attentative. The comp schedule SUCKS. We had a promo offer for 6 free buffets per day (2 for Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner) which saved us a ton of money just eating breakfast alone. The buffet really didn't change day to day, so that got a little boring but overall great food. Would definitely stay again, undecided if I would bring the family here though. It's pretty crowded and there are some pretty hardcore gamblers that stay here. But overall GOOD STAY.

This is the fourth time that I have stayed here. Very cheap rates. Cheap internet too ($2.99 per day) -- large strip hotels are $10-15 per day. I had a "refreshed and remarkable" room. Bed was actually quite comfortable. Nice desk area for use as a computer desk. No carpet-- wood-look vinyl on the floor, which was actually very clean. I had a handicapped accessible room (didn't ask for it), so there was no tub or traditional shower. The area was open and there was a hand-held shower on the wall. There was also a wooden bench. I actually ended up liking the shower.It's a 15 minute walk to the strip from here. I bought a bus pass and used it to ride the Deuce up and down the strip. You can order the bus passes online and have them before you leave for Las Vegas. I could have actually used the bus to get to the motel from the airport, but it is a bit of a walk from the bus stop. Very nice pool area and a 24/7 convenience store too. There are much nicer places to stay, but this is at least cheap, clean and convenient.

I was offered a deal that was to good to pass up at Harrah's. Normally I stay at Bally's but this deal was at Harrah's only. Room was a tad small but clean. Service was also good. However, and I can't put my finger on it, overall I am not sure I would stay there again.
One thing is that I am not a Country music fan and every time I went to the elevator I had to pass Toby Keith's bar and grill with the crappy music blaring out of it. Also, I like the location of Bally's a little better as it is more centrally located. I also don't like how you have to walk in a U to get into the place.
Again, this is not a bad hotel just not what I personally like so, even though it was cheap, I think next time I will stick with Bally's.

I left a rather scathing review of Harrahs last year that was deleted. In my view, I think Harrahs has something to do with it in order to artificially inflate the ratings. Similarly, I used to subscribe to "Casino Player" magazine and Harrahs amazingly always came out on or near the top with regards to Best Casino in Las Vegas. It's not even close---Harrahs better than the Bellagio? Harrahs LV was even voted as having the Best Steak House a few years ago. I've been to the Range and it was okay, but not great. Circus Circus has a better steak house than Harrahs. Somehow I feel the fix is in.
Last year I stayed in a comped room that was filthy. When I called to change the room, to their credit they changed me immediately. The room was outdated and didn't have wireless internet.
The casino has a wide variety of machines and table games. I actually did quite well but didn't care for the clientele that frequents the place (maybe my accurate description last year got my review deleted). The 4 pm check-in is really inconvenient and likely won't be changed, as they expect you'll probably spend the time gambling in their casino.

Reservation made 08/2009 for 8 days for a great rate stay (Nov. 09) and It was confirmed and quoted at 8 days. I Checked on 10/09 reservation showed at 7 days! After a little fit it was corrected but given 2 confirmation #'s. In November I checked in with no problems, room the usual. On 4th day I went to my room late at night and keycard did not work! had to change out at the front desk because of the second Res. #. On 5th day was wakened @ about 5:30am by screams! A lady was getting the tar beaten out of her somewhere on my floor! I called "0" and it was taken care of. Not a lot of problems, but the new owners must be trying to save $$ because it has changed alot. I will still stay @ this hotel but I did send a private message to Plaza noting some key problems. Other than this it was a pretty usual stay and still the most $$ saving and FUN!! place to stay!

Just got back from a 3 night Sun - Wed stay at The Mirage. Arrived at around 10:00 and was able to check in after a very short wait at the desk. Employees were very friendly and helpfull. Room was very nice and the only thing bad you could say about it would be the small bathrooms. Not a big deal for me though. Hotel location is awesome, casino slots were ok, we broke about even and were able to play for a while on our money. Secret Garden / Dolphin Habitat was kind of cool, but also small for the $15 admission. Sports book was nice, and of course the pool is great! All in all a great spot to stay in Vegas. We will be back soon.

When we checked in, they didn't have the room we reserved available. The front desk was unhelpful and rude.She wouldn't even give us directions to our room, which was like a maze to get to. We had to take 2 separate elevators! The bathtub had hair from the last guests, which was disgusting. They never sent anyone to re clean when we called. Our room reeked of smoke. The perfume they pump into to casino stinks. I would never stay there again, I would rather stay in a cardboard box on the side of the road, avoid this hotel at all costs!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Did not upgrade to Go Room, didn't need it. Our room was clean, no noise & cheap. What more can you ask for, we only sleep there.
Casino was packed but still was able to find machines to play at. Could not win a dime at Blackjack this trip but the slots saved us, at least somewhat.
Best of all, the annoying Time Share people are not in the building anymore. Can walk the building in peace. That was one of the reasons we stopped staying here for a few years.

Great stay! I complimented the check-in gal on her nice smile - something we hadn't seen in previous trips there. Our room in Tower I on the 12th floor was really nice. The recent renovation made the room brighter by doing away with much of the heavy "dungeon-style" decor. Plus being from Wisconsin, we were happy to see the Kohler faucet fixture and also the granite counter top. The wide screen HD TV was a plus. Keep up the good work, Excalibur!!

my father thomas quigley and self stayed inthis place for over 10 years and he loved it as i did he passed away 2yrs ago but i still intend to stay there it is a very convenient place to go down towm and we refused to pay the price the other hotels were charging for a room and these rooms are clean i will add that a coffee making machine would be very good and useful to the elderly who can
not move around as quick and may need a beverage either tea or coffee

I have been coming to Vegas since I was 10 yrs old with my parents I am now in my 50's so I have seen alot of changes over the years. Stayed at Flamingo before but decided to give it another shot stayed twice in the month of Oct.2009 the first visit being 10/7-11/09 we upgraded to the GO room because my husband likes coffee in the morning and I need a fridge for medical reasons the GO rooms have a coffee pot, but the GO rooms not worth the cost of the upgrade. We could have ordered room service for the coffee and it would have been cheaper, the fridge is free for medical reasons. The bathroom has a seperate shower and the tv in mirror was different but there was not a bathroom door just a frosted glass sliding door. With what we spent for the upgrade we could of had a really nice dinner or gone to another show. The buffet was not up to par but Tropical Breeze coffee shop was excellent and the Burger Joint was very good, service at both was great. Had a view of the pool which was nice. Now my second stay 10/25-30/09 was for my girls trip have taken this girls trip for the last 11 years, we just got the standard room and had a view of Bill's parking garage and Flamingo Road and Ballys it was ok for the amount of time we were in the room. We stayed there because of the price and location. Would probably not stay there again we like TI much better. Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville excellent place to eat gotta try the shrimp/corn chowder. Donny & Marie a must. Was in the gift shop one night about 10:20 and who is in there looking at her jewelry but Marie Osmond, she was very nice and took a picture with me. Wanna see 2 other good shows go see Terry Fator at the Mirage and if you like Motown you have to see Human Nature at Imperial Palace brought me back to my high school days the place was rockin. Now for a sandwich that outdoes any other go eat at Carniege Deli in the Mirage, no lie 3 people can eat a regular sandwich and the Woody Allen serves 6. Best buffet is at the Wynn and be sure to check out their Lake of Dreams. Be sure to head downtown to Fremont Street the light show is exceptional all of them one every hour starting at 7pm till midnight. Go into Binions and play the Virtual Blackjack min. bet $3.00 and alot of fun no pressure from dealers or pit boss.

We took a long Labor Day weekend and spent 5 nights starting Friday the 4th at the Planet Hollywood. We booked a fountain view room through Allegiant Airlines in a package that included air and hotel for what I thought was a good rate. We arrived in Las Vegas at 6PM and took the CLS shuttle to PH. (I have given up on taxis as they have the habit of taking Tropicana all the way to the strip and then inch there way to your hotel with the meter running rather than cut down Koval or one of the other streets that would get you there sooner).
The Planet Hollywood hotel itself is pretty average, but you have to give it points for location. The main dissatisfaction that I found was check-in. It took us 45 minutes of standing in line to get to check in. They do use a single queue line so that you don’t have to guess which line is moving the fastest, but you would think that adequate coverage could be provided for a check in on Friday night of a busy holiday weekend. There were several unstaffed positions at the reception counter, but one would have to assume that the management didn’t know how many guests they would have that evening, they sure didn’t plan on accommodating them in a timely manner.
Our room was on the 20th floor down near the end of the hall and did indeed have a nice view of the Bellagio fountains. The hallway and the room itself were done in dark woods and dark colors and of course they scrimp on the lighting in the rooms so it is always dark. In keeping with the Hollywood theme, the room was done with artifacts of ‘Lost in Space’. The bathroom was large and had a separate shower and tub. There was no refrigerator and of course they want to charge you $13 a day for high speed internet. Even most Super 8 rooms come with a refrigerator and free wi-fi at no extra charge. Maid service was very good as whether we were gone an hour or several hours our room was always serviced when we returned. Our room was quiet and comfortable and very adequate and average and maybe not as good a value as it could have been.
The casino is average also, about the same variety of machines and table games and the take rate seems to be about standard.
I would stay here again if I could get a good deal, but there are usually better deals to be had especially now that things are a little slower in Vegas. For my money Bally’s is just as nice, less expensive and not as pretentious.

Great to stay where you can walk from your car to your room in under a minute! Very nice rooms: clean, spacious, comfy and cool.
Also nice to be able to have breakfast and coffee in your room before heading off to the casino or nearby strip.
Pool was also nice and I came out ahead on the slots.
I paid an average of just under $50/night and feel I got more than my money's worth!

We had the steak and eggs special, the steak was bad, when it was replaced it was bad again. We will not ever eat at the restaurant again. The Flavors Buffet however was very good. They have turned down the payouts of the machines since I was there last, (June 2009). Bad or non existant bar service. Will not stay there again.

My visit at the Luxor was pretty good overall. However, I primarily went to "hopefully" get a glimpse of Criss Angel, and outside of the show he's in, I never saw him... I would also have to comment that the beds were aweful - terrible! Very uncomfortable and cheap. Also, the location isn't the most convenient as it is located at the far south end of the strip... The Luxor is also much larger and more cavernous than it appears on the outside.

I had a good visit to MGM Grand Oct. 8-13. Check-in at the airport was quick and easy. Our room was in the Grand Tower and had a good view of Excalibur and NYNY. The quality of the room was better than expected. The valet service was excellent. Yes, the place is huge, but I don't think it is a reason not to go. It is a long way from the room to the pool. I had some luck at the casino (roulette, epecially). All the casino staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet is sub-par and the service at the cafe was slow. The MGM Grand is in a great location on the strip. If you want $5 blackjack, just walk across the street to the Tropicana. Overall, the MGM is thumbs up.

I stayed at Harrah's from 9/23/09 thru 9/28/09. The location is excellent. The staff is very friendly. The room was small, but had 2 flatscreen TV's and was clean. I heard the noise coming from Carnaval Court, but it didn't bother me too much. I was in the Mardi Gras tower, so ask for the other tower to avoid the band playing at night.
The casino is smokier than most, and I didn't win a lot here. But that's why they call it gambling.
Harrah's is a good value in a great location. It's not the Venetian, but it's not trying to be. I give it a thumbs-up.

Stayed at Bally's 10/09/2009 for 2 days. Got a better rate that Paris (first choice) yet convenient to Paris and our show "O" at Bellagio. Prompted at check-in for the upgrade to the deluxe room (North tower) for $20 per night and took it.
Room was pretty decent and had a good stay. Blackjack no good here as I won't play the 6to5 blackjack at the cheap tables. Paris and Planet Hollywood better in this regard as they do the normal 3to2.
Overall a decent stay, a matter of price and convenience.

Without a doubt, this is the best place to go in Henderson! If you don't mind staying off Strip, do come
here!
The rooms are quite luxurious and spacious at 550+ sq. ft. The bathrooms have full soaking tubs and
flat-screen TVs, while the main rooms have comfy beds, big flat-screen TVs, and nice sitting areas. Oh,
and they also have killer views of The Strip and the mountains!
Don't hesitate to eat here. Marinelli's does classic Italian right, while Red Cup Cafe serves quality food
24 hours a day. Even the buffet is quite good here.
The M really has set a new standard for luxury in Henderson, and now I really appreciate it as a Green
Valley local! ;-)

I had the bad fortune of being caught in the aftermath of "The Great Baker Car Crash of 2009", so the
15 was backed up all the way to Primm all day. My dad didn't want to stay on the freeway indefinitely,
so I eventually relented and agreed to stay in Primm for the night. Buffalo Bill's looked OK, and it cost
only $20 to get a room for the night.
Well, I guess we got our money's worth. The room was lousy. (With a "lovely" view of the big dumpster!)
The food was crappy. There was at least a good outlet mall nearby, so I got a little shopping done.
If you have to stay in Primm, do it here. Otherwise, save up a few extra bucks and get a decent room in
Vegas.

Hands down, this is the best hotel downtown! I stayed here in April when I signed the papers for my
condo, and I had no regrets about it. I was a little worried at first about staying somewhere downtown,
but all those worries evaporated when I stepped inside The Golden Nugget and appreciated the truly
classy atmosphere of the place.
The rooms are a little on the small side (at least by 4-5 star Strip standards), but they're appointed
tastefully with comfy beds, flat-screen TVs, and nice bathrooms. The pool area is without a doubt a
true gem, especially with the great water slide and "tank" in the middle with live fish! Grotto is not to be
missed for good Italian food (at quite the bargain!), while Carson Street Cafe is the place to go for a late
night bite.
Oh, and don't forget to check out the nightly video shows outside on Fremont Street! :-D

While it's just off The Strip (but not too far away on Flamingo), The Rio has plenty of its own action to keep
you occupied. The weekend "Show in the Sky" is a must-see. The irish pub, McFadden's, is a hidden gem
worth visiting. And of course, the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The only quibble i have with the hotel is that the rooms need a little updating. OK, and Cafe Martorano is
an overpriced hot mess of a "restaurant/nightclub" that doesn't even do all that good Italian food.
Otherwise, The Rio's probably the best value anywhere near The Strip.

I stayed here last fall with my dad, and I was awfully disappointed. I was expecting the "3 star hotel" I
booked for, but instead all I got was a dingy motel room that wouldn't even be fit for Motel 6. The
bathroom was frozen in the early 1980s while the main room didn't live up to the "hotel" label. And worse
yet, a staffer stole from my dad's bank account when he used his check card at this place!!
Really, save up a little more money to get a better room at a better Harrah's property like Paris or Rio.

I stayed here back in March, when I was in the process of buying my condo in town (where I now
reside). If I were still living in Orange County, I'd DEFINITELY stay here when visiting! The standard
suites are quite spacious at over 700 sq. ft., and they are certainly decorated tastefully and stocked
with amazing luxuries like a flat-screen TV in the bathroom and a great lounge sofa in the living room.
And if the accomodations aren't exciting enough, try the food! Sinatra serves classic Italian dishes done
perfectly, while Society Cafe is a "gourmet diner" doing luxurious comfort food. Also try Daniel Boulud
and Stratta next door at Wynn. Nightlife sizzles here with XS, Blush, and Tryst... And don't you dare
miss the fabulous show at Le Reve! For a few extra bucks, the VIP Indulgence package with champagne
service during the show is definitely worth it! ;-)

Great place! This was recommended to me by a business relation. Beautiful suites with 2 televisions and a DVD player. Kitchenette was well-stocked. The man at check-in was very courteous and helpful. The pool and spa area were well-kempt. They had breakfast and dinner which I didn't partake in. The only downside was the maidstaff: they weren't that attentive and didn't bother to check back later in the day to see if I needed service. This was the only downside to a new facility with beautiful rooms. This is a great place to stay!

The Suncoast is a bit of a hybrid between a local's spot but situated in beautiful, expensive Sumerlin. The rates offered were excellent. The check-in was slow, but the room was huge and overlooked the golf course, which was a nice plus. The room service is skimpy and is not offered 24 hours. Like most local's casinos, they offer movie theaters, bowling and cheap eats. There is a TGI Fridays in the casino, and the food and drink are what you would expect from this establishment.
The casino is big but smokey due to people still lighting up. The craps dealers--for the most part--are horrible. They need annunciation lessons! You barely know if you rolled a winner based on their inaudible voices. There was one outstanding, experienced craps dealer, but the minority of pathetic ones spoiled it for the rest.
The video poker machines were tight, unless you were playing anything less than dollars. That's my opinion. Usually it's the other way around--the higher denominations win more frequently.
Essentially, this place is nice to stay a few nights if you weren't expecting too much.

As a native New Yorker, I always found NYNY to be fairly lucky. I remember when I first visited in 1998--at that time I was playing strictly blackjack and the various pits had overhangs that were adorned with trees as if you were in Central Park. They had a huge fascade that resembled the New York Stock Exchange but instead read "New York Slot Exchange." The limos were all yellow like NYC taxicabs. They had a cigar bar named after George Hamilton, which at that time was in vogue. I always loved the art deco theme of pre-WWII New York, and always felt lucky there.
In the ten years since my first visit, MGM Mirage has taken over ownership and in my opinion, ruined it. This is coming from a stockholder too. Gone are the many homages to NYC. This is a generic casino now and the one of the few ways to tell you are in a NY-themed casino is by the Statue of liberty outside and the fact that they haven't re-named any of the Towers--yet. Hamilton's is long gone, replaced by Coyote Ugly Saloon. MGM Mirage has taken all the charm out of a place I used to feel at home.
My room was spacious with an awesome view of the South Strip but they are in need of an update. The televisions are antiquated, small and blurry compared to the crispness of HDTV, especially since the TV was about 10 feet from the foot of my bed. Did you know that the main performance show is "Zumanity"? Of course you do, it's advertised EVERYWHERE, including your bathroom. There's no getting away from the constant advertisements of this show, which I have never seen and likely never will. I loved "Mystere" and "O" but this show is not my cup of tea. Beware that room service already charges you an 18% gratuity (apparently this place is looking more like Europe than NYC).
The VP macines were tight to me. The older gentleman at the Players Desk was surly, especially when holding out my hand to receive my card and he placed it on the desk (little gestures say a lot).
Essentially, MGM Mirage has ruined NYNY just as they did to Treasure Island--oh sorry, TI.
Addendum: I stayed at NYNY recently only because I was comped a room. I know I may hypocritical--but it was free. It's kind of like when you vote for a candidate (i.e. McCain) and hold your nose at the same time. The only thing I have to add to the above is that the recession is affecting this place: the video poker machines were tight and so was the bartender. I couldn't get a martini at the bar even though I'm playing dollar vp. The ironic thing is if I was playing on the casino floor I'd be more likely to get one there. To add to the irony, smaller local places will comp you a martini at the vp bar but not at NYNY, which is owned by the behemoth company MGM Mirage. This is not the way to endear customers, Mr. Kirkorian.

We have been staying at the Flamingo for about 5 years now. We are Diamond members and when we check I go to Diamond Club check in, no lineups and get my key and am in the room in minutes. The last room we had was a suite on 27 floor. The room has a dining room with 2 huge bedrooms and 3 baths. 7 TV's in room. It was a real treat to have the room. There is a dining room with table to seat 10 people. There is a bar with fridge. The view was of the pool area. The room was clean. The service was great. If we needed something it was there in minutes.

the casino is not bad buy laid out weird however that is what sold me on this property i thought it cant be that bad even though about 80% of the reviews said stay away the sad part is that this is a casino steeped in history not the first on the strip but very old schooL! THE SKINNY... THE ROOM SUCKED EVEN AFTER I TIPPED THE CLERK 4 A GOOD ROOM i got a filthy room high up w/ a i do not care attitude IT IS NOT LIKE THE CLEANING STAFF ARE NEGLECTFUL but even 4 $35.00$ the walls were dirty the carpet was bad stained the wall paper peeling the only good thing was the bathroom was clean no one in vegas seems to realize how this attitude effects future bus. well i wont be back cheap or not this room should not be rented at any price!!!!! and in the end it is going 2 cost you repeat bus i once stayed at a flea bag motel in flagstaff it was late and just wanted some zzzzzz's and the room at the sahara was just barely above that motel but at least w/ the sno bowl motel i knew what i was getting into value is paramount in my vegas trips but value is being confused w/ cheap !!!! p.s. changing the name adding westwood 2 the name will not get it i am not impressed at all going 2 have 2 go a lot farther than that too win me back SAHARA SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the reviews of this place are astounding. I am a middle-of-the-roader as far as Vegas experience is concerned. I gravitate toward value but will not do without just to save a buck. If there is something we want to do, we do it. If there is a coupon or discount available, we will use it. That having been said, here is my review of our stay at the Flamingo...
The room on the 32nd floor overlooking the Bellagio fountains was not the cleanest or nicest we've stayed in on Vegas trips. It was not unacceptable though. I basically paid $200 for 7 nights at the flamingo as part of a package deal through SWA. I would say I got much more than my money's worth. The room was average, but the view of the fountains was great. Everything worked in the room and there were no hassles during our trip. The location is great. Margaritaville is a cool hangout. It's right beside Bill's which is one of our favorite places to gamble. Just walk across the street to Bellagio or Caesar's if you want a good place to eat. Also, the Paris Buffet is very good. The Flamingo pool is as good as any in Vegas. Too bad they turned Bugsy's pool into the GO pool. That used to be a nice area. Still is if you don't mind paying to lounge there.
If you are looking for a good Vegas value but don't want to sacrifice having a good time, the Flamingo might be right for you.

Bally's was exactly what we expected. Nothing extremely fancy, but one of the best values on the strip. For roughly half the amount of a room at the Mirage, you get a bigger room and better location. The pool is boring but big. The little cut-out benches on the side of the pool is a great place to chill out in the Vegas sun. The grounds around the pool are expansive and it is relatively easy to find lounge chairs. The view from our room in the south tower was great. The trip to the pool from our room was a little out of the way, but nothing too terrible. Gaming here was pretty boring with only a few small wins. The Paris is attached to Bally's and is a much nicer place to gamble with a nice vibe around the Napoleon's lounge. The service we received was high. (ie. We asked the front desk to print our boarding passes on our last day. The airline had screwed up our tickets. David at the front desk straightened in all out for us and saved me an hour on the phone. That was the most deserving $20 tip I ever handed out. In hindsight, I should have given him more. Very impressive.) All in all, Bally's proved to be a great value and one of the best locations in Vegas.

Best Pool in Vegas. Great room with great view up the strip from the 34th floor. The elevator area can be murder when the conventions let out for the day. The service we received was very good. No luck in the casino and never quite felt comfortable. The Island lounge had great bands playing as usual. Nice floating the day away in the lazy river. (Remember to pack your cheapo inflatable tubes for the week and then just give them to kids when you leave.)And then chill out at the island lounge and enjoy the people watching and tunes. Very cool place.
