Excellent value for the money. The food was just as good as what I had at Paris, and the best part is the price. $6 for a breakfast buffet in Vegas is a steal.

I live in Vegas and we eat at alot of places during work so we have tried many of the buffets allaround town and most restaurants. As It has a great selection of food for a really good price! Many locals go here for this very reason.

I went for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was just okay and the Omelot man is way overated. That omelot was running. Now dinner was pretty good and it was T-Bone steak night. However were this place really scores points is on its price. Breakfast is only $6 and it is easy to get a comped with a few hours of play.

I really enjoyed the breakfast ,and the guy who makes the omelets is really entertaining. Steak night on the other hand is a bit over rated. The steaks looked, and tasted cheap very tough and rubbery Other than "Steak Night" this place is great.My overall rating is good for this place

Not a bad choise for the cost. We've even taken kids there (mild brats), no problems at all. Choise of food isn't too bad either, not the greatest, but selection beats other places I've been to. Desert Fair selection, they had Ice cream and pies and candies etc. Their main choises of food were (lunch) Chinese style, Mexican, Salads, Pizzas, Chicken, Potatoes, American. Overall not bad for $10 bucks.

This is a very good downtown buffet. Some of the foods weren't great, but there were plenty of good selections to make up for the ones that weren't wonderful. My husband and I especially enjoyed the mashed sweet potatoes, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and ribs (those were really excellent if you're a rib fan). The only truly weak park of the meal were the desserts. We did not try any of the pies, but we did try a piece of chocolate cake with white icing and a piece of green-looking cheesecake, which was presumably meant to be a lime flavor. The chocolate cake was extraordinarly dry, and the green cheesecake literally tasted like it had been prepared with soap flakes -- no kidding. My husband almost gagged when I forced him to taste it to confirm my opinion about its "soapiness" (I know, what a mean wife). However, I would still recommend this buffet overall for its wide variety of offerings, generally good food, reasonable price, and competent wait staff.

Loved this buffet! Had a wonderful omlette. Chef is very entertaining and upbeat. All of the othe selections were also wonderful. Everything was fresh and hot. Will visit there again and again. The very best breakfast buffet that I have every tried.

The food was pretty good quality, but the deserts were not very good. There was no waiting in line or to be seated; I went on a Sunday at 1315. I don't think this is a champagne bunch as this web site says because I wasn't asked if I wanted champagne and the Main Street Station web site doesn't mention champagne for bunch. I do wish we could get our own drinks. There was a lot of Mexican dishes. The beef tamales and rotisserie chicken was very good.

I had visited this buffet in 2000 for a decent breakfast. On this occasion, it was T-bone night and for $12 you could have a T-bone added to your meal. Sounded like a great deal, especially since I had a buy-one-get-one-free coupon from LVA. But no, it was mediocre. The steak was tough and nearly tasteless. The selections on the buffet were unimaginative, and almost everything I tried was bland -- even fried scallops were uninteresting. The deserts looked fine but again, were nothing noteworthy. Mind you, I'm not a food critic -- I can enjoy myself just fine at the local Golden Corral, but I'd put this buffet a full notch below that.

One word sums up this buffet....LOUSY! I can't believe it gets such high marks on all these LV sites! We had the 2-for-1 coupon and it still wasn;t a good value. They had beef brisket for their meat. Not turkey, not prime rib, but Beef brisket. Disgusting. The deserts were horrible too. Bluebeery pie had the filling come right out of a can and the crust was stale. Bad! Bad! Bad! And its unfortunate because Main Street Station is a great place otherwise.

We usually eat here for our breakfasts before going out on the town. Very clean! Staff clears off the used plates as fast as I can eat off of them. They fill your drinks quick too. Area is very spacious! Two people can pass each other between tables without a problem. Excellent selection of food! Omelet station is THE BEST IN TOWN! The regular omelet maker is funny and it's always a pleasure to see him at each visit to the Main Street Station breakfast buffet. HUGE spread with just about every breakfast food you can think of from the made to order omelets, bacon, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, rice, biscuits w/gravy, pastries, fruits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, pizza, waffles, pancakes, bagels, various cold cereals, etc. 5 STARS HERE AND TWO THUMBS UP!!

I was in Vegas the weekend before Christmas, and wanted to go out for a seafood buffet on Friday night when I arrived. I was staying at the GN, but the power was out for 2 hrs or so, so I went to Fremont, only to find it was closed for remodel or something. I decided to walk over to MSS for the buffet. It was around $17 for the seafood buffet, which I thought was reasonable. There were about 15-18 people or so in line in front of me, but I only had to wait for about 10 min. After I paid, the overly high-strung hostess told me to "go straight back to Rose", then proceeded to walk away. So I walked to the back, but there was no Rose. I had to go and find Rose, and she looked a little confused when I found her, but I got a table. The food was pretty good, for the most part. The crab legs & claws on ice and peel & eat shrimp were decent size, and tasty. I made sure to eat 3 plates full (you know, to get my money's worth ;p). I tried some of the other food - ribs were really good, tamales were good, hot wings were really good, hot crab legs were shitty (too small and shriveled, and way overcooked). The meat at the carving station looked like it had been sitting there since Tuesday, so I steered way clear of that. The clams/mussels tasted good, but were really small and shriveled up. I tried a few other random dishes that I can't remember, so they must not have been that bad (but not that memorable either). I was way too stuffed to eat dessert, but it looked decent. Overall, I was pleased with the buffet. I would have liked some hot crab legs, and some of the dishes could be improved on, but overall it was a good buffet and I would go back again.

We went on a Tuesday night for the T-Bone steak Special. The steak itself was good and delicious. Been here also for their regular dinner buffet which was very good too for the price , succullent prime rib, hawaiian style oxtails , fried chicken ,pizza and other side items, just skip their fried seafood items though. Desserts of cakes,pies and soft ice cream are excellent.

Next to Westward Ho (which will close down soon) Main Street Station WILL be the MOST family unfriendly buffet in LV. Main Station offer no discount what so ever for children.
Staff were not friendly at all. Wouldn't recommend this place to any parents with children.

I thought that we’d make a trip downtown and get a good cheap meal. We had read that the Main Street Station was unbelievable. That’s not what we found! I thought it was terrible. We went on Tuesday which is the T-Bone special night. If you go on this night be sure to ask the people at the buffet for the T-Bones because they hide them behind the bar! I felt the other foods were limited. The mashed potatoes I got you go with the steak were the worst I have ever eaten. I will not eat here again. It was almost as bad as the Sahara buffet that I ate a year ago.

We were walking around downtown when my friend told me he needed something to eat after the previous night's gaming and libations. I told him about the good ratings for the buffet at the Main Street Station. A short walk later we were standing in the buffet line.
The waiting area is open and bright contrasting with most of the dark and windowless buffets in the bowels of most casinos. The seating was very comfortable. A short walk took use to the buffet line.
Salads were plentiful. Romaine for Ceasar lovers. Pasta and parfaits for others. The Italian selections looked very appealing. Foccacia was a surprise. The pizza reminded one of a Costco or Sam's Club. The American favorites included Salisbury Steak, Sausage & Kraut, and Chicken Fried Steak. Several chicken selections including slow-roasted, fried, and chicken strips. The carvery only had some ham and spicy sausage. The Southern section had greens, sweet potatoes, catfish, and fried shrimp. An adequate Mexican section with beef fajitas. A hotdog roller reminded me of every drive-in snack bar. The Chinese section was also adequate. Pineapple chicken being the best. Finally, the dessert bar: A HUGE selection of pies, cakes, cheesecake, muffins, donuts, pastries, baklava, maccaroons, eclair, cream puffs, and soft serve with a dozen different toppings.
Servers were efficient and pleasant. They assisted the buspersons without the cacophony of crashing plates, silverware, and glassware.
Overall, a pleasant experience. Bring a paper, a magazine, or some good conversation, to make the time go by between courses. Oh, an don't forget, gentleman, to take a pee on a piece of the Berlin Wall found in the men's room outside the buffet.

Friday night seafood buffet. Variety was good but quality was mostly disappointing. It's a place to go if you want variety at a reasonable price and your standards aren't high. But if you expect the seafood to be cooked properly or regional specialties to taste anything like they would if you were at an average restaurant in that region, look elsewhere.

A very fair value for $ 5.75 plus tax. Service with coffee and juice is excellent. They have the best home fries, (IMHO), of all the downtown casinos.
Dishes are removed promptly and there is an omelete to order station. Overall a very good value for breakfast with regard to variety and food quality.

People! Please! Stop leading everyone on!!! I went to this buffet because of the fantastic reviews it got NOT because of the affordable price. What a disappointment!! It was steak night and the steak was the only edible thing (oh and the corn on the cob). Mashed potatoes were mushy and watery. Asian foods were disgusting. American foods were tasteless. Almost choked to death before I recieved a refill of my iced tea. What a horrible, horrible experience. I would have to say this was worse than the surf buffet and THAT'S pretty bad!

A group of us (3 couples) went here on 7/3/05 for the $9.95 Champagne Brunch. Because of the holiday weekend we were outta luck. No Champagne, NO breakfast foods, NO $9.95.
Because of the 4th holiday they had jacked the price up to $14.00. We all did get coupons for two 10 oz beers each but only one of us got a beer. We were all looking forward to brunch and were very unhappy with our choices of foods. To me the quality seemed down from 2002, when we rated this among the best buffets in LV. The room is still beautiful. The service quick. I would eat here again, just NOT on a holiday weekend.

The spread at Main Station was above average, but not spectacular. The usual suspects were present, including representatives of Mexico, Asia, Italy and a hot dog bar for the kids or odd ducks that would bother with tube steak at a buffet. The hot wings were actually pretty good.
The dessert bar had copious amounts of carbs, pies, cakes and what not.
My little stink was the drink service. After my initial troll of the chuck wagon, I asked a hostess about beverages. She said someone would be by soon. I was pretty much finished with my plate when I asked, "Did you mean someone would be by before I finished my meal?" She then went and got my beverages; not surprisingly enough, the beverage corporal showed and asked me what I wanted. Anyway, it was a decent stuff for $8.33 (incl. tax), and I stiffed the drink brigadier for the tardy service.

We had the Sunday Champaigne brunch and it was fantastic. Better than any of the buffets I've had out on the strip. There was a huge amount of different kinds of food and desert.

My wife and I have visited Las Vegas almos every year since 1998 and have stayed at various hotels,but have spend more stays at Main Street. We always have the breakfast buffet there even when stay at other hotels. It is our favorite buffet and think that it is the best we have ever had. Manuel the omelet maker adds to our dining pleasure. We will be going out to Vegas again this spring and will be staying at Main Street and hving the breakfast buffet more than once.

For the money, this was the best buffet we went to. Aladdin had the best quality but you paid for it. This was a pleasant surprise as I didn't expect to actually be able to get more than two different platefuls of great stuff. I especially liked the pork kalua, bbq shredded pork, collard greens, candied yams, chicken with long rice noodles, and wild rice. The coconut cream pie was outstanding. Didn't like the sugar free lemon mergingue though, really tart. Unbelieveable for the money. If you are downtown, check this buffet out!
